When I was about 7 me and my cousins used to dance to this. I was the main girl (don't know name), my cousin who was my age was Colin Dunne, my little cousin was part of the adudience (?) and my other cousin (aged 4) was the golden girl on the flute, even though he was a boy. I loved it every time we watched it, we used to watch this all the time. May Riverdance live on. Oh, and we used to dance idioticly in front of the TV. We bonded at our grandparent's house.

@Kaiserklan...HILARIOUS ! I always come to my "Riverdance Garden" to pick my soul up once inawhile when i'm in the "Weeds of Blues".....seeing your remark on who disliked this was way too funny! TY for the laugh!
Live from New York has always been my favourite. I think Michael Flatley is very self-centred and him leaving the production is definitely the best thing that happened to this wonderful Production.
I am in complete agreement with escottish140's comment. All Flatley does is bob from across the stage from out of one stage exit and into another, each time wearing a different coloured shirt. This is dance, not a beauty pagent!
@IrishAndCrazy: Flatley doesn't give any other the performers their chance to shine. One of my favourite routines is Maria Pages' "Firedance" with her beautiful Flamenco dance and Flatley ruins it with his entrance. Here, she's has a solo and you get to appreciate her art in completion then Dunne enters her world via "Heartbeat of the Drum," which brings an equality and organization to the production.
I definitely prefer Colin Dunne over Michael "Look At Me" Flatley. This production gives everyone -- from dancer to singer to musician -- an equal part in the show. It was about everyone, not just one ego bogging the whole thing down (and I mean you, Mr. Flatley).
@escottish140 YES! And the fact he keeps his outfit to actually fit the dancing surrounding; not like those over-the-top uniform that glitters and shines and annoys you because they're so bright that you can't look at any of the other dancers!
