Man this brings back soo many memories. I was into pop punk/skate punk at age 15 approx 2000 and I love this song. As I got into more of the UK early punk and oi I stopped listenin to pop punk but being older now and even before I loved this song. I really like their redemption song cover of Bob Marley.
bought this record brand new in 1995 after seeing the video on bohemia afterdark. it was the first punk record i ever bought and i've been blasting it ever since. it sounds as good now as it ever did and even better blasting out my truck stereo now.
i saw tony sly play this accoustic on his solo tour with nofx. nobody in the croud even knew who he was and they were booing him and yelling to get off the stage. i asked some poser kids if they knew NUFAN and they were like 'huh?' lmao
Fuck, I am happy to see of people talking about great memories they had when listening to these old tunes, and not about who and what is punk. lol Keep the great memories rolling, and please, always keep alil extra in each and everyone of you, for those days when a moshpit is in your vicinity. lol
I remember the first time I heard NUFAN. I was like 14 or 15 and my friends older brother who had just gotten his license took us all to get some grub at taco smell. Any who, he was all like "Dude, you guys gotta here this band I just found.". So he pops in "Making friends" and played "The answer is still no". Pretty much from the second I heard that song I was hooked.
this one is one of the perle from the nineties....fakin awesome....NUFAN was always one of the greatest band, even now...San Jose Rulez...fakin allways even in Croatia....and the last album is greatest album I ever heard...daily grind is the best one....2cond me....
I used to think that he said justified black guy. I thought that was pretty fucked up, then I realized what it really was. Actually now I look back on it that makes the song sound pretty funny... in a very sad, fucked up, racist kinda way. I don't roll like that though. Anyways great song. NUFAN is the best skate punk ever! Great band!
This song is 100% fantastic, but have you seen the acoustic versions running rampant on youtube?? Most of them perpetrated by Tony Sly himself. Makes me wanna staple my dick to my leg. That would be cooler.
Oh man. Thank you for uploading this song. I bought this album when I was 14 and it brings back sooooooo many great memories from summers in south Jersey. Hanging out, surfing, drinking under the rt. 72 bridge, etc. great times.
@Evaese Seriously? They went back to their old style?
I kind of dropped at more betterness. Lost it's edge to me, but I'll admit I never really looked in what they did after. Anything good came out of it?
@TheBournesLegacy well tbh you prob wouldnt dig their new stuff ay, after more betterness they stayed the same, catchy skate punk, but the recent tour they played heaps from this album an more betterness, 2 new members aswell, alot has changed!
first heard this on dk bike's damn kids video back in 98, it was definitely part of my high school soundtrack.

I think they're still good and relevant, just more mature. Now they're more focused on creating good layered sounds and lyrics, rather than speed.
