I loved this video, I have never been around anyone with Nigerian parents but find it absolutely hysterical that as it is said, parenting is the same the world around because my southern black mother had very similar sayings and parenting tactics, only difference is from what I am seeing, many of you actually wrote on the wall and lived to tell about it, in our home that would have warrented more than a "spanking"...lol!
oh my, my mum says 'mark it on the wall' so i did with a pen and she used my pocket money to buy paint, the expensive one as well, and i had to paint the wall
@belamydl Do you know that Christianity is correct? The world around us reveals that G-d DOES exist, and the historical evidence reveals that Jesus Christ really did come to this earth and there is overwhelming evidence that Jesus Christ really did physically rise from the dead. Jesus is coming again and the signs of the end times that were foretold in the Bible are coming to pass.
OMG!!! you have me on the floor. I havent laughed so hard in a long long time... you should take this to Hollywood. Thanks for sharing you made my day.
im a black american and my babys father n his mother sound JUST like this when they talk on the phone,.. theyre from Accura, Ghana n shes coming in March,... i cant wait to meet her n see these things in action!
Haha this is what some of my grandparents say! And my dad says some of these things and said he had done some of these things where he lived as a child! :D
This is just too well done! Absolutely hilarious and spot on, make no mistake this is correct!! Thanks for the laughter, I've watched it 10 times since yesterday. LOL!!
lol I'm Zimbabwean and Zim moms do threaten you with a cooking stick (mugoti), mark it and swine.... My Mom is so calm and always forgave me 3 times by saying mark it.... the fourth time she'd ask me what she told me the last 3 times... then punishment ahhh good times
My mother's side is from Barbados and my father's side is Nigerian and I'll tell you what..I've heard some of the same expressions and phrasing from my maternal grandmother! I love all your videos!
LOL I can't stop laughing because my mom has said most of these things to me at one time or another. "Shame on you." "You will see what I will do to you." "Mark it on the wall." "Don't mind her" "It's not by force." "When you meet your husband..." "Are you mad?" "I used to walk 10 good miles to and from school." "So because they are doing it...Not in this house." She has said all those in the past month that I spent at home at least once. LOL. Thanks for the laugh.
So funny. "Oh oh, oh oh. " lol "If I come there, wait and see what I will do to you". Still sends chills up my spine. It goes to show we are the same around the world. I love my African Peeps, no matter what part of the globe we're from. I'm African American and I'm glad for YouTube and Facebook. We get to reconnect with our African people everywhere. Note: Don't go by the media and judge us. There is a smear campaign going on looking to trash black women. Don't Fall for it. Much Love.
u r so funny! i finally ordered the 1 liter giovanni dir leave in fr massage warehouse. Thanks for telling me where i could find that size...it seemed like such a LONG journey...lol it shall arrive soon.
hilarious! i'm convinced Ghanaian's and Haitians are kinfolk...i swear i heard my haitian elders saying something similar to all at one time or another. good laugh thanx
This was SO funny. The video is finished and I'm still laughing. My family is from Panama but most of these things are just too familiar. I felt the chills. I am going to have to watch this again! Too funny!!
"Stay home and learn" I heard that NUFF times! My mom's from Jamaica and she STILL talks about walking 10 hard miles to school through red dirt holding her shoes and socks! LOL!
hahahah i loveeee this. i always got the "You will see what I will do to you" from my dad. hahahah he didn't even have to yell it. He said it in a calm voice with that look in his eye and i would be shivering in my boots lol.
Ahahaha wow I guess Ghanians and Trinibagonians have a lot in common. When you said "mark this day" I got flash backs of my grandmother talking to me. Or "you'll see with your own eyes what I'll do to you if I come up there" lol. too funny
Let me say that 80% of this was said by my nigerian parents! Mark it this day and you will see what i will do.... THIS video brings memories wow! Ehhheeehhhh naawoooowww
Moms are the same world wide lol this was hilarious thanks for sharing. Some of these sound like me lol. " Pack your bags and go live with the neighbors not in my house"
I'm Jamaican but my mom married a Ghanian and I've been exposed to the culture. Love it! lol I used to hear my stepdad say debbie, debbie, debbie so many times. LMBO!
I <3 the fact that she's sewing with the needles in her mouth. "you this girl", "mmmmchew", "you may just as well remove everything and be free!", "10 good miles" HILARIOUS! Me daase wai!
90% of this stuff I have heard from my Sierra Leonean mom!! "Stay home and learn!" rotfl -3 I think I'm going to go show her this video and see what she says!
