yup still have the car. took it out of garage on weekend for the first time in a year. started up ran nice. took some pictures. i hope to install the nos turbo i have for it and the daytona 500 pace car door decals for it this year. kinda cool car even though its 30 years old lol
Funny you should mentio being fifteen and loving it because thats how old I am. I'v paid of the car and its in my name, but up here in ND the snow turns to big blocks of ice, and the car is shut in the garage its in now. So i have to wait till spring to get it out. It was 40 degrees all last week so I got my hopes up, but sure enough, no car.
The Turbo lights indicate the turbo boost level ... Low , Medium, or High. Instead of a gauge, which is more accurate and really more ideal, Pontiac used the lights. I love 'em! I remember being 15 when these came out and a buddy of mine took me for a ride and he punched it and the lights flew from Low to High and I thought that was the baddest thing! Would love to have one nowadays! Congrats on getting one! I suppose you have it now?

So ive been wondering for a while now, whats the deal with the T/A gauges? Are the red gauges exclusive to the pace car and anniversery car for 79 and 80? Or were the red gauges used on all models from 79-81? If not what is the natural color? Input would be much appreciated, im trying to do all my homework before considering buying one of these ;)
@Ratmouth66 .. YES, the red gauges are for Pace Car and Anniversary models. The natural color I believe was a golden color. Sorry I'm so late replying!

I hated my Turbo hood scoop. The lights were long gone before I bought it though. Still like you said fun cars though!

79 80 81 special editions only are red. Normal Cars are clear. Fun cars.
