A simply awesome arcade game, very possibly my favorite ever. Unbelievable that is has never come out for any Sega compilation or on Xbox Live Arcade. Great music, great sound effects, amazing creatures to ride... and that multi character attack with the spinning pile driver. Just a great game all around. Thanks for this video series!!!

I can tell that this game borrowed a lot of voices/sounds from movies such as Conan the Destroyer, when you had to fight that ogre in yellow armor sounded like that guy that got impaled from a spike trap from Conan.

And around 0:37, is it me or does that grunt sound like that guy from Roger Rabbit.

When Eddie Valiant punched R.K. Maroon after he sprayed Maroon with a bottle of water.

Mame is the best one to get for this one. Mame version .64 is a great one to get if you plan to do online multiplayer too.

actually Yojimbo it is golden axe 2, this one is the arcade version which didn't appear on the Megadrive/genesis. Golden axe 2 for the sega consoles came out after this one.

Golden Axe 2 appeared on the Mega Drive one year before Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder appeared on the arcades. The one that was actually released after this one was Golden Axe 3.

First, the three brothers went to destroy an archery club (including their logo banner)and then gang-banged a lady. After that they went to the market place and terrorized the store keepers for their elixir until they are forced to put a SOLD OUT sign. Then they entered a restaurant and killed all the customers who were enjoying their meal peacefully. Next, they entered a private bedroom and killed all the guests who were sleeping soundly. The boss had no choice but to trap and hung them up.
