NICE overview on the XFCE panels Sneeky. Looking for a new distro for myself AGAIN :) May try Aptosid, what do you currently use? I'm guessing something puppy, you seem to be a big puppy fan.
One thing I like about XFCE is how much you can customize the panels. I've placed the panels so that the interface looks kinda like Windows XP (I know Windows sucks, but I still like the interface).
