  • COKE IS CA CA CA CA CA COOL!

  • This was directed by Ridley Scott, between movies. The "mother" is Elisabeth Sladen of Doctor Who fame, but her voice has been dubbed by an American actress.

  • I've always liked this commercial. I'm so glad I found it here on youtube.

  • These Max Headroom commercials and all things related to them are priceless.

Very nice job! Keep up the great work! Thanks for posting!

    A++++++++

  • Imagine getting rapped by this guy. lmao

  • I really miss the 80's but I'd never want to go back to that decade ever again...does that make any sense?

  • Then don't fucking drink it

  • Feels so strange watching after all these years anyone agree?

  • @Lightner445555555555 Yes it DOES...and alot of the the old stuff I forget from the 80's then see now takes me wayyy back...its pretty cool how that works huh...

  • Wasn't this when Coke came out with New Coke?

  • god i miss the 80's.

  • "What are you watching?"

    "Educational program"

    (mother leaves)

"Stick 'Girls gone wild' back on!"

    XD

  • This answers a mystery I have had.

I recently had to start drinking all diet sodas and when you go out to eat, there is ether Coke or Pepsi.

And at before if they had Pepsi products I would gat Dr Pepper to avoid Pepsi. And now that I have to get diet a lot of places only have Diet Pepsi. So I eventually just got Diet Pepsi thinking I would hate it.

    It was not that bad.

I could not understand why I thought I hated Pepsi now I know it was that first commercial.

  • Gee, these two commercials make me feel old! I remember them airing in the mid 1980s and have not seen them since. I think there's a third in this series with the kids where they ride with him into a clubhouse and max says "af, f-friends!.....'

  • The pirate who hijacked the 2 TV stations in 1987 also said catch the wave!

  • @xsoburg He was holding a pepsi can in that broadcast thought haha

  • Never really warmed to Max Headroom. Just thought he was annoying.

  • His character comes off too over animated in the ads, and alot less clever.

  • Hey...We love Max Headroom... He was very funny! Bring BACK MAX to Cinemax!!!

  • All carbonated beverages burn like fire, and those who drink them clearly have no sense of touch.

  • At least we don't douche with them like you do.

  • You must be a vegan. My sympathies.

  • No, I hate vegans. Steak does not burn like fire. It is just burned in fire.

  • How does a fizzy drink "burn" to you?

  • How does it not burn to you? My throat feels like it is being scraped with sandpaper whenever I drink something carbonated. Soda must just be a gateway drug to alcohol or something, because I can think of no other reason anyone would do that to him/herself.

  • Ouch!

  • Coke doesn't burn my throat. In fact, drinking Coke is a pleasant experience for me. Pepsi, though, burns my tastebuds because it tastes like shit.

  • As much as I hate water with bubbles (tap water tastes so much better to me), no that's not a doorway to alcohol, some just taste good (being a Sprite and Coke drinker for years, now also Red Bull). We all have different tastebuds I guess, some people will love a meal that others will hate, imho that's the same reason why carbonated drinks taste so bad to you.

  • I drink more Coke than Pepsi, but I drink Sprite most often, which is manufactured in the Coca Cola Company.

Nevertheless, this is a classic commercial that is worth remembering. Old school still rocks today, and this commercial is part of it.

  • If you're drinking Coke, who's drinking Pepsi?

  • Shitney Smears

  • Oh my! That's a really bad name!

  • Where there's a wave, there's a Coke!

  • WOW! Great commercials...too bad New Coke flopped; Coca-Cola Classic replaced New Coke around 1986, yet New Coke later re-emerged as Coke II.
