We had an audio guy practice with us during our practices. I had different sound effects on my laptop and set it up to play whenever you hit specific keys. So, durin the live performance, we had the sounds in sync with our actions.
Well, they don't bend which is important if you want precise control over your sabers, considering that they are really light. You just have to make sure that your hilts are durable enough to handle impact, and that the shafts are tight and secure inside the hilts. They do break after wear and tear. I had my first saber break only after a year or so. Just keep them away from water and they'll be fine.
With the popularity of the NY Jedi, at least you can proudly say: "The Philippines did it FIRST!"
