  • With the popularity of the NY Jedi, at least you can proudly say: "The Philippines did it FIRST!"

    hehe.

  • SWP did it first... and the best is still to come!

    Something they haven't seen before...

Btw, I'm waiting for a certain director to contact me for a certain sequel to a certain award-winning fanfilm as fight choreographer...

  • gary how did you make the hilts?

  • thats a realy great master peace, they must have been practice over a month or two

  • Ohhh God thoose kids are amazing...besides the coreography was awesome

    congratulatios to all!

  • ahhhhhhhhhh sayang(wasted) i wasn't able to watch that because i was smaller and i live near there i'm filipino darn!!

  • yo i was there somewhere in the back think

  • Fing a! nice

  • nice that was really kool:D

  • These "kids" inspire me more than words can express! Well done, my young friends!

  • thinking you practice Escrima, philipino fighting stick? it shows! godo work!

  • So did you guys have the music and sound effects live at the preformance? and if so, how did you get the saber clashes and hums to match up?

  • We had an audio guy practice with us during our practices. I had different sound effects on my laptop and set it up to play whenever you hit specific keys. So, durin the live performance, we had the sounds in sync with our actions.

  • it was wood??? i can hear the cling

  • It's metal.

  • hell yes. there isnt just filipino jedis in americ, but in the philippines too! haha.

  • They are everywhere. Look up the video 'sabertest' or 'battle between brothers'

  • Great choreography, & great costumes! Well done!

  • haha.. was that a MR force FX vader sabre at the end? those arent good for fighting.. mine broke. :*(

  • good work guys

  • Thanks, man... my apprentices and I are planning to do something more intense some time early next year, so watch out for it.

  • i have something fun for u to do, add the effects to it;)

Piece of cake lol, although u cant even see the sabers lol blazing fast.

  • what kind of props are you guys using?

  • graphite golf shafts, with home made saber hilts, and neon sticker paper.

  • How are they on bending/breaking?

  • Well, they don't bend which is important if you want precise control over your sabers, considering that they are really light. You just have to make sure that your hilts are durable enough to handle impact, and that the shafts are tight and secure inside the hilts. They do break after wear and tear. I had my first saber break only after a year or so. Just keep them away from water and they'll be fine.

  • angaling, sa SM Mall to no?

  • Glorietta Activity Center po...

  • now that was impressive! too bad you could not see what the blades where doing most of the time.

  • I guess we really were that fast... hehehe...

  • bows down and 2 thumbs up to direk gary !!!
