I've actually done this recently... AND IT WORKS!!!! Now it will take a few times to get it ALOt more blonde. ive been dying my hair brown the past 2 years and wanted my natural blonde hair back. so what i did was i took pure lemon juice and went out in the sun for an hour. each time a came back from outside hy hair was visibly lighter/more blonde by one or 2 shades AND it gave me natural highlights and not to mention shine a lemony scent ;) DONT FORGET TO WASH YOUR HAIR AFTERWORDS!!!!!! <3 <3

Umm, yea... why would you get in the pool if you have something that needs to sit in your hair? Wouldn't the water in the pool rinse out your treatment? And as already pointed out, chlorine and lemon juice is not the best mix to have in your hair... in anything I think.

This method will work on all hair colors. The darker your hair, the longer it will take. This is a bleaching treatment that will not work overnight. This is a treatment that needs to be used almost daily or at a least a few times a week to achieve the desired results. It could take several weeks or months. The results are permanent meaning the hair that was treated will remain the lighter color.

lemon juice will only work on naturally light hair, it won't do much on darker hair tones. Also, you DO want to use conditioner because lemon juice is an acid and will dry you out. Also be careful with chamomile because it can give you a golden tinge. And its probably not a good idea to get pool water on your hair. Chlorine & lemon, ouch.

You are right. And there is something else: you can get your skin stained if you have on it lemon juice and then you go out to the sun. Not a good idea at all.

(i didnt use ALOT) but ive seen results in my opinion, about the sticky part, just use Herbal Essences hello hydration shampoo, it makes ur hair very soft and NOT STICKY, i used it after i aplied the lemon juice

You know how people with dark brown hair use bleach on their hair and it turns orange? Basically, lemon juice has the similar effect

People with light brown hair and blond hair can use this trick to lighten their hair. I suggest you just dye your hair brown....unless you want orange hair, which is also fine

i suggest adding in some extra virgin olive oil into the mix or alternatively lightly coating your hair with it before applying ths should help the hair from drying out.

also use LOTS of conditioner
