I did indeed get the ontario machete the other day, a bit small but very utilitarian. Now I can't really say it is superior to this because for one, I havent used a rambo machete and I'm wondering what model this one would be, is it the Gill Hibben replica?

Any khukuri is better! I got a cheap $20 khukuri from budk, cleared my hillside with it alone. Now I'm waiting on my khukuri house 3 chirra. The craftsman got sick and backed up production tho. Poor guy!

I think Sootch got ripped off and actually got a kukrihouse knock off. he says in his video that the blade is 1095 but kukrihouse uses 5160 because the material they use are from leaf springs from old delivery trucks and busses. He also says the knife weighs almost 2 pounds but on the kukrihouse site the weight is listed as almost 3 pounds. Also if you notice His kukri has three rivits but on the site it is shown with two.

O.k. just looked at the video more closely, It doesn't appear that you stripped any branches off from where the camera is pointing at, but I noticed you only showed the bottom area mostly. I bet the tree had multible lush filled foliage up above away from the view where the camera was recording. I think you should feel ashamed of yourself and plant another tree for a sacrificial replacement.

@beacons4lives Pete Knew where I lived for years now,I Bought an Adjustable stock from him back in 2008 or 2009. The Tree was Alive but Only had one branch with very little leaves on it....Plus a few feet away there was a pretty big fire,some dumb ass made a camp fire right under a big ass pine tree,scorched the whole ground and a few near by trees. some people shouldn't play with matches I guess.

Anyways it wasn't a very healthy tree. I Didn't cut any branches off because there weren't any

Just a suggestion, but you could make it through faster with not swinging so shallow the whole time.

Swing down at a steeper angle (30-40 degrees) a couple of times, then swing shallow to cut the chunks out. After you have a good size notch cut out about 2/3rds in, move around the other side and a couple of swings will have it on the ground.
