I think the British music industry is to blame for Sweet being classified as a Glam Rock band...they were highly rated in Germany as a ROCK BAND...why didn't the British music industry give them the credit they deserve? Roxy music were awful!

You're right about that - I have sent comments many times making the same point...when I tell people I like Sweet, they either think I'm joking or they snigger. They don't even know about the great tracks from Sweet albums...they think Sweet only sang CoCo, Little Willy, Blockbuster etc...it's v hard to change their minds. RIP darling BC.

Not my fave b ut one of my top ten preferences in the 70's. The guy with the blond hair looks different from the other rock bands then, so I bought the LP (acronym for record) . But I liked then unique sound. But Led Zep and Osborne were tops.

Wow, I quite like Sweet but they really seemed to be taking the piss out of it on this "performance". Priest especially seemed to be just horsing around. Oh well, what can one expect with lip synching, right?

Okay then, don't get your drawers in a twist. What makes you think they wern't lip syncing? Sure looked like it. Most old TV shows this was the case. As for what they do? How would you know, the band was established and falling apart before you were even born...Cheers!

1. I'm sorry but they are. You always had to lip synch during a TOTP performance. That's just how it was. But this is not to put this womderful and indeed very talented band down. They could do it live alright, but here they are lip synching, as everybody did on TOTP.

Yeah, something like that, 99.9% of TOTP performances were mimed. I guess it was Top of the Pops after all, and not Top of the Live Shows.
