BAPTIZED = This is WATER in THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST; for by ON SPIRIT are we ALL BAPTIZED into ONE BODY = (THE BODY OF CHRIST) = WATER BAPTIZED AND FILLED UP WITH THE HOLY GHOST= GOD'S SPIRIT.
Whis is 1 CORINTHIANS 11:25 This CUP is the NEW TESTAMENT in MY BLOOD: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it in REMEMBRANCE of ME. = 1 CORINTHIANS 12: 13: And have been all made to drink into ONE SPIRIT.
Spiritual israel "are" the spiritual jews that God will save. There's no way to know who the physical jews are, but the ones who call themselves jews are claiming to be so by being blood descendants of abraham. This isn't true because the blood jews were dispearsed all over the world, and nobody but probably some no there identity. How can you call yourself a jew when you don' believe in christ as being lord and savior? Faith in the works of Christ and obediance is evidence
@malboro1979 - nope, I won't trust you on spritiual matters and I don't expect you to trust me either. I DO expect that you will check everything against the Word Of God ALONE.
@TwinCitiesGrace1 ..Protestantism teaches Isreal as spritual...the 12 tribes no longer exist in a litteral fashion, they have long since amalgamated with other cultures. Paul refers to the people of God as Jews..." that are inwardly" whose hearts have been circumcised. We are now all on the same footing in the eyes of Jesus. Teaching that the litteral Jews remain "special" to God is not biblical. The "time of the gentiles" extends all the way to the 2nd coming.
Of course, we differ on the idea of "time of gentiles" extending until the 2nd coming.
I believe we will be taken out of the way so things can progress back on Israel's timeline...the 1,000 years won't start until the 144,000 are gathered...and that's before Jesus returns.
@Ahavah8Ahavah ...What will terminate the "times" allotted to the Gentiles? "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world...for a witness unto all nations...and then shall the end come." Matt. 24:14
@Ahavah8Ahavah I agree with you that the teaching that literal jews are special to God is not biblical, so on that understanding, who do you believe these "gentiles are that trodd down jerusalem until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled in Luke 21? I believe it is "christians" who have not been baptised into the One Spirit as you mentioned 1 cor 12:13. They are gentiles because they have not been circumcised in the heart through the Spirit. Do you agree?
@Ahavah8Ahavah Also it is clear to see that Jerusalem is another word for the body of Christ. "You are a city set on a hill" etc. So you can conclude that Jesus is foretelling how the body of Christ would be overrun with people who are not truly following Christ, they only claim to be followers of Christ. Then that leads to mystery babylon being the church and how throughout the old testament God tells His people, those circumcised in the heart, to flee babylon or take part in her punishment.
@msmelancholy1 - based on ALL scripture in context - I can't agree. The body of Christ is not another word for Jerusalem. This would be a very long conversation.
The main thing to note is the differences...Peter's good news compared to Paul's.
Inheritances are different, walking by faith today, not by sight is different (Jews required a sign) etc - there's a lot you're missing.
@Ahavah8Ahavah So who (or what) do you think is the New Jerusalem spoken of in Revelation 21? and you did not answer my question on who you think these gentles are trodding down in Jerusalem in Luke 21.
5*****!! Thank you so much for posting this sermon. I don't really understand the whole theology behind the teaching of the body of Christ being spiritual Israel. This sermon will help!!
I'm just putting together a video regarding some of what Vachief mentioned. I hope you see his reply in your inbox and that I reposted it above. I'm such a dork! I hit the wrong button ...AGAIN!

What are you seeing as "the end" in that passage?
The end and then the 1,000 years or the end and then the new heaven and the new earth?
