I really enjoyed this video. Thank you for making them & sharing them with us. keep up the good work & to be honest with you, i feel that one day YOU will make it Big!!
I find those who speak the English language often misunderstand and assume. Often people don't listen very well, but speak too often when they should be listening. Or they are thinking about what they want to say instead of listening.
Assumptions and misunderstandings are even more greatly occurring online in text like this. I find often I need to write a paragraph to give a sentence context.
So I like to do it in video, where they listen for several minutes and get perspective. But not always.
wow it's amazing that some ppl are just not aware of embarrassment. It's like they need to actually realize a lot and grow a lot before they will be smart enough to know that they should be embarrassed and so not say anything instead.
On the other hand, those who are critical of others often live in their own version of an insecure hell, where the torments put on them by others bounce around in their being, and they prefer to blame it on others instead of hear it about themselves. Love yourself!
The thing I hate about YouTube is all the moronic comments from cynics. Why not just move on if you don't enjoy or value something. What's the point of all the negative energy? Maybe these come from people who have no meaning in their own lives, no depth with which to appreciate an act of creation / art / beauty. Pity them!
They made it first without subtitles. Then lots of people pointed out that deaf people wouldn't get it. You'll notice it is about a deaf person (the actor is not deaf, and is not playing the guitar - it's a made-up story).
So it was pretty weird they hadn't thought of this, while telling us to care about the deaf.
I agree to some extent. This is entirely a staged fantasy and is not about a real person.
It's great that there are so many soft-hearted people in the world. I'm sure you or I could make a clip about a lost teddy bear being found by a cripple and returned to its wealthy family. It would get thousands of hits, yet nothing would change for those who really need compassion and are in real agony. Let those who submitted tell us what unusually kind things they have DONE since seeing this video.
Right on. I know you'll get slams for spoiling people's feel good fantasies, but the planet has kinda run out of time for grown-ups who still want to play children games of Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice. Even a smile at someone else walking down the street who looks like they need it more worthwhile than another video imagining niceness. What a NOTHING impact.
I am so inlove with Breanna Anthopoulos right now. This was a brilliant film. Your should enter tropfest with outstanding exaple of a short film. Well done.
Wow this vid is still strong dont warry about them mofo,s thay just carnt come to grips with the fact of how moveing this film is and yer what ever makes you happy :) but yer hideing it can be good in some ways (im not ya mum and dad)
I was touched by the fragility of a young child coming to grips with a handicap in her life, and proud of that handicap living each day making her music - where a lot of others would break mentaly if one of their cences were lost. Thank you for making this a moment I will remember in your brilliance ;-)
i hav a 20% hearing loss in both my ears a couple of years ago i had surgery in 1 of my ear to help impove my hearing
i no how frustrating it can be but people dont really understand what is wring wiht u unless u tell them
im a normal person like every one eles im just not doign 2 well at school because i cant always understand wha the teacher is saying altho i dont realise this is becasue i cant hear them
peples im talkin bout the music itself, not the others reaction not the vibration, but the sound. thats wat music is. if she likes doing sumthin difficult that others enjoy then fine. alls im saying is that she gets no enjoymentr in making the music herself cause she cant hear it. if she was born deaf then she dosent evan know wat music is. but good on her for bringing enjoyment to others
yeah but she is the one playing the guitar, to the audience the music is just sound and hearing it is everything but to the people playing it its not just that.
im talkin bout wheather the GIRL gets the same enjoyment out of music she cant hear. u just proved my point that if u r deaf there is no point in music
I accidentally clicked 'remove' on your last comment instead of reply.
I'm wondering if you've considered that people find pleasure in making others happy or attaining skill under difficult circumstances, or maybe in proving something to themselves and others. Maybe some 'hearing people' who play music don't do it to listen to the music but for the aforementioned reasons.
speechless....No-one has eer put that kind of twist on " If a tree falls int he forest and no-ones arund, doe sit make sound" before, apart from that, i think this is, really no-way to describe it- very inspriational at the least. Enter in a short film contest!

Hey Tina vid is great! Pardon the question but would you happen to be Australian? I myself am Aussie and I'm pretty sure you are too. Yeah weird but thx for vid, was gret :)
I respect your ambition, your outlook on life and your ideas on the presence of sound. However your overlooking a serious element which lies embeded music, although you can play the guitar, and feel the sound as you put it, tonality and your ability to truly react, improvise and interpret music will forever be hinderd. This may not be a bad thing, but i thought it needed to be considerd.
I appreciate that you say this in a polite way Marcus, but your statement is only true if your definition of music is confined to those parameters. I would argue that improvisation and interpretation are not limited to hearing musicians. I am sure that you would agree that you hear a song in a much different way to the way I hear it, and this is what makes music so amazing! I don't mean to have a go at you, you just sparked a thought in my head, thats all.
I think this is very amazing video, with an implicit moral message. however, I don't like the music. it seems to make the story a bit scary. you need to work on the music there, mate. but, overall... two thumbs up!
because she is trying to pretend that she's not deaf, she doesn't hear anything with the headfones but with it she looks more like a person with all their senses.
She might be using it to disguise that she's deaf. Although, it's also a good way to let people know that you can't hear them.
The driver was more considerate when stopping due to the headphones. Had she not worn them they might have assumed that she'd hear the car and stop which would've been fatal.
Although, it's not uncommon to "look" before you cross the road :-P
