Masterpiece Theatre (as the whole shebang used to be called) was a creme de la creme of tv movies (usually bbc-made) that would air during a season of PBS programming.

They have recently divided it up into three 'branches' of Masterpiece Theatre known as Contemporary, Mystery & Classic. As the name implies, Masterpiece Contemporary is a collection of shows set in current times which are shown during the Contemporary season (Fall 2009) and hosted this year (and hopefully forever!) by Tennant.

Here, here! David did the Doctor brilliantly, and will remain forever linked with the iconic programme of DW of which i have loved since Tom Baker... DT's career expands much further and deeper than one role, and I for one am looking forward to his future projects (save for St Trinian's, which is completley naff, imho).

Honestly, some of you need to look beyond the fact that it's hosted by Doctor bloody Who and appreciate the art and talent that goes into this.

I love David Tennant as both an actor and a person, I think he's terrific, but don't just watch things for him alone.

Is it me or in the show with the six cars crashing, there are two actors who played in episodes of Doctor Who, the woman was Ida Scott in "The IpossiblePlanet/The Satan Pit) and the man was Shakespeare (not sure about him though)
