Serious question: It seems that the fz6 needs to keep the rpm's very high (9k-14k) to really stay in the powerband. Does that sound right?

Also, I noticed that he redlined once, so does the fz6 not have a rev-limiter?

that's just where the peak power is...it redlines at a true 17000 rpm apparently. the 06-07 tach was shown to by a little optimistic during dyno tests, but supposedly this one is actually hitting 17k rpm.

that was the 06 and 07's, displayed 17'000 rpm but on the dyno it turned out that they were actually only hitting around 16'500

the 08+ hits a true 17'200 rpm verified on the dyno.
