Don't assume that God (theoretically speaking) is a clockmaker who designed a clockwork universe and a clockwork planet populated with clockwork people. God didn't create beer, per se, but He created the elements for us to make it. He gave us the faculty of creativity. How we use it, what choices we make, that's what differentiates g0od from evil. Free will itself is neither g0od nor evil. It's what an individual does with it that defines them.

To answer your question God did not create homosexuality, man did. The Bible talks about being made in the Image of God or the Imago Dei simply is not just will, intellect, or emotions, but also the ability to be a creator of things. Because of sin some of the things that man creates are skewed because of sin. So God did not create sin or homosexuality, man did. Because of love and freewill God allows us to do things and make wrong choices. I find this to a good thing.
