I wonder why those who were supposedly healthy in Mexico died, while the rest of the healthy people living in other countries recovered. I think some of those people in Mexico weren't as healthy as thought. Perhaps they had another underlying condition that stressed the immune system?

What do we know? Almost nothing.
Why are we panicking? What *facts* do we know? I keep seeing people throwing out 'facts' left and right, but the only person thus far who has actually linked anything of substance is feveriam.
Until I see something more concrete I'm keeping skepticism up high.
Summer is the perfect time for a really good virus outbreak though. Tourism, traveling -- it's an incubation dreamland!

there is no vaccine for swine flu. the doctor will tell u to go home and rest. treat it like seasonal flu. once u are home, u will die in 2 days. LOL. but seriously, i doubt swine flu will be like 1918 spanish flu. the best swine flu can match is bird flu. i'm not too worry, but i do prepare and get informed.

I really wouldn't worry too much. Just ask a lot of questions, and yeah, prepare. I bought rice and water for cheap, and if I have to stay in for awhile, it will be very boring. In schertz TX, which is 25 miles from me in (I'm in san antonio tx)........they have shut down all schools and daycares there. 3 teens are infected in Schertz and everything is shut down there already. Please prepare yourselves !!!! NOW!!

The next couple weeks will tell us if this virus has the same transmission means as other forms of the flu, or is something different. The guy who greeted Obama a couple weeks ago and showed him around historic sites is now dead, apparently of the flu, while no one is worried about Obama getting it. Either there is a secret vaccine, or the means of transmission isn't like the flu we know. Because of these suspicions I think it will calm down soon, then return as a nasty killer this fall.

I would've started preparing since I began watching myspacesecrets, but I simply have no resources for it! My job - and i'm lucky to have one - pays exactly for a month's living, can't afford to get any loans atm and my savings are almost non-existant. So apart from stockpiling as much clean water as I can in my apartment and keeping my bike and myself in shape, I find it's pretty hard to prepare effectively :(

Tell me why the patients in all the other countries have mild symptoms and don't particularly feel ill (according to BBC news 27th April 2009)...
