I simply love this band. People should check out their movie Heima and see what wonderful people (and muscicians ofcourse) they are. They did this whole tour in Iceland, for 'their' people. No charge at all. Just to give back, to their country (their inspiration) and the people. Heima is a movie about this tour. Iceland has alot of traditions still, because they did not get conteminated so much with other influences from other countries, because it's and island and all..

@colorfulHyena...yeah, i'm sure arcade fire would HATE to be compared to sigur ros. this band has been performing this way for over a decade. to my recollection, arcade fire came AFTER that. besides, music is a cycle. ever notice how the stones sound changed in the 60's, 70's, late 70's, early 80's, 90's and back to where they started in the 00's? the last change (reversion) was a response to garage blues, pretty much what they started in the late 60's...stop your hating.

I have yet to hear ANY Sigur Ros song that was sub-par. And compared to the crap that gets played on terrestrial radio (Go XM!), SR's music can only be described as beautiful. It's a shame that more people don't know them but, then again, I sort of like being in a "small" group of people that see the beauty in their sound.
