You ought to try Psychocandy - The Jesus and Mary Chain as that the only other band that used feedback and effects to the same extent as FSA except that was in 1985.

Into the whole shoegaze scene, I am a veteran of many a gig in the 90's Slowdive, Ride, MBV etc, some really good new stuff out there too
