Yeah they borrow heavily from blur & Oasis, but i'm sick of people saying 'sounds like this that and the other' everyone who makes music has borrowed from someone else, even blur and oasis. But i'd rather have 50 copies of blur around making 2nd rate music than having to listen to Justin Gayber and other dull pop singers. @wastedlittledj92 Okay, Cast and Shed Seven both had their prime success in the 90's, the golden age of britpop, compare this band to Oasis and Blur and you can see the inspiration that Brother have taken, but their very much bringing back Britpop, and if you want to talk about genres getting worse 20 years after the golden age, Thrash metal, Grunge, Electro, Hip-Hop, Funk, Punk and Jazz. So labelling is a waste of time, do I love everything I've heard from Brother? Yes, that's what matters.

Compared to all the dross 'indie' out at the moment it sounds like the greatest thing since sliced bread. Put it up against the likes of Cast, Shed Seven and other britpop bands it's emulating and it's a pile of mediocrity. It even has the Acquiesce descending chords!
Decent, but hopefully they'll trigger a revival of proper guitar lad music, which will bring out some more unique bands.

@wastedlittledj92 Okay, Cast and Shed Seven both had their prime success in the 90's, the golden age of britpop, compare this band to Oasis and Blur and you can see the inspiration that Brother have taken, but their very much bringing back Britpop, and if you want to talk about genres getting worse 20 years after the golden age, Thrash metal, Grunge, Electro, Hip-Hop, Funk, Punk and Jazz. So labelling is a waste of time, do I love everything I've heard from Brother? Yes, that's what matters.
