Its an 80-81. The 82 had a crossfire badge on the side, and the 79 and older model had a single side marker light, also 1980 was the first year for the front wheel flare to be molded into the body.

This is for sure a 78-82 model vette. Notice the rear bubble type window...this was indicative of a 78-82 C3 vette. The 68-77 vettes had a notch back type of window, it was a straight vertical rear windows in those years....this car has the bubble type rear window. Also, the badging behind the front tire says StingRay, however Stingrays were finished in 1976, so this was an add-on badging after market. My best guess without seeing the rest of the car is that this is a 1979 Vette.

neo196910 i don't think it's a blown head gasket at all..... judging by the heavy coat he's wearing i'd say it's below freezing level. and everyone knows a tuned motor runs like shit when it's cold in the morning's.. hence why everyone warms them up first before travelling anywhere useful

thats not a stingray. chevy started putting the hatchback style rear window on the corvette in 78 and they dropped the stingray designation after 76.

That back window gives you away, your car is not a Stingray, C3 yes, Stingray no, 76 was the last year.
