  • @alexoficeland Sounds like he was interpreting for a hearing reporter in the background.

  • 1:04 I'm pretty sure I hear Jack

  • how did u like get to interview her? u should interview sean berdy!!! lol please reply

  • All fluent signers focus on the eyes. Eye contact is essential in sign language. If you're looking at the hands, you need to retrain yourself, or you will never communicate well with deaf people.

  • @woofiegrrl But you need to see the hands to know what the person is saying, right? I am not hearing impaired myself, so forgive me if I seem ignorant. I guess looking at the face and eyes are good for certain ways of expressing a specific emotion, but you can't look at two places at the same time. lol

  • @jaywhofan A fluent signer is looking at the face, the hands are in the field of vision, so you are taking all of it in at the same time. You don't really have to look in two places at the same time, you just don't have to focus on the hands. I hope I am explaining this ok.

  • Awesome interview, keep up the hard work! Marlee is the reason I'm an interpreter, I saw her in 'Children of a Lesser God' and just fell in love with the language. Great Job!!

  • What astounds me in videos like this...Is that both people keep their eyes on the others. They are so used to signing that they don't even need to focus on the other's hands to understand what they are saying.

  • When I was younger, I saw the actress on TV and I was amazed by the fact that she spoke through sign language,I didn't know who she is, but now I'm glad that I know who is Marlee. I'm glad to see that there are deaf people who have succeeded in life that motivates any deaf person to go forward and fight for what he wants.
