In the 0:31 exactly there was a clunck noise going on. I hear that all the time in my gtr2 as well. What is that? Simply an overrun? Its curious cuse i think if you are looking it from outside you cant hear it but probably will see the spark in the exaust. Just wondering..i have absolutely no sure about that clunk. ^^

Which is bullshit seeing as I had the exact same setup but my 733 Celeron was clocked to 91X and it absolutely could not and would not run GTR2 or GTL (or rFactor for that matter).

you can not compare the times, GTR2 is simulation and gt4 is arcade.

My time with PGR3 (xbox arcade) in a standard 550 maranello is faster then my time with race 550gtc on gtr2

how on earth is gt4 arcade if professional drivers have been interviewed and claim that it's the best simulator they've used other than pc simulators and i'll have you know that the tracks on gt 4 and 5 are much more accurate than on any computer simulator if u've any doubt look it up. so gt 4 is no arcade even though driving aids are added they can be taken off making it a simulater nonetheless. i see you are speaking off a biased opinion and have never played the gt series before.

frame rate with GTR2 is about 30-35FPS and when I drive past the pits it drops to 28 FPS with medium/low detail 32bit...

Now the thing is that when I look at guys running the game at 60 FPS I get a bit jellous and I wonder if there is anything that I can do to somehow increase performance on my rig?

A few answers for your questions. Yes, I am driving using drivewheel. No, it is not 270* but 180* - red logi. To someone who does not really belive I did not know the track. Well, of course I did a few laps before i recorded this movie - about 6 - 8 laps, but after 8 laps on this track you can say that you know it.

I know many drivers in the league that I participate (SimracingPL) which are better than me, so maybe it was not as smooth as it could but I enjoyed it :)

you did a great job on that one! Actually you can rent a cab with a professional driver that drives you and two more ppl around the nordschleife. It's the BMW Ringtaxi, it costs 185€ for one quick lap on the Nordschleife. Once you did that, you'll be addicted, believe me !

i have this game (gtr2) but is unplayable in an Nvidia fx5500, I use GTR2002 (F1 2002 mod, see my videos) and it does run @ full detail, full speed and with fraps recording on a crappy pc (p4 2,4 512 ram (Btw i don´t see much difference between these tittles, except for the exhaust flames and some particles).

Maybe your problem is the Antialiasing and anisotropic filtering, when using them (at 2x at least) it become unFRAPable, so try (if you do another vid) turning this off.
