@xxxsheshexxx theory.-that was 1 of the things that buged me from the start, why did ranma did not ask the guide which 1 did a guy drowned in and jump into that one, but then we would not have this show.

I wonder if that had worked. I mean Pantyhose-Taro did jump into an octopus-spring after being already in the jeti-ox-whatever spring. And still instead of turning a full octopus his tranformed form only acquired tentacles on it's back.
