  • @ DarkJoney I just installed the 920 over my fx 8120 today. So far so good.

  • It's silent and good for FX 8120?

  • just got this cooler , working very well, no regrets ( running with 775/Q9550)

  • @TheColdarkstare after diggn into set and running at 25c idle or low load (while posting this comment) next check will be during skyrim

  • 80c isn't great, its hot.

  • my 920 keeps my FX-8120 (overclocked mildly to 3.8GHz) at 18c idle, and around 45c with all 8 cores under 100% load with prime95 (stable temps after 2 hours). this is with a fan profile that keeps the fans from ever going 100%. impressive.

  • this or corsair H80?

  • I've got my computer open right now, was about to install the backplate when I saw the adhesive strip on one side of the backplate would cover several chips on the back of the motherboard. Is this a problem, or should I just carry on with the installation?

  • @diskincluded it's no problem at all

  • Paying 100euro (130$ ) for this? No no no !

  • @DecadenceGaming I'm sorry for your frustration. All I can tell you is how our products perform in our lab. It seems to me the most likely scenario is that there were variables in your testing. I.E. Ambient temperature.

  • @AsetekInc

please help . Why the pump speed working all the time maximum? Allways working 2800rpm and higher. I don't understand why? This is my problem please help. maybe the softver is wrong or someting. And where is the new softver antec 920, new driver . I go up the antec website.i can't see the antec website antec cc driver? Where is the new driver?

  • @MrISTENCSASZAR Hi, the pump is a fixed speed. The fan speed is adjusted my liquid temperature. If you need support, contact Antec at vip@antec.com.

  • To many things to buy

    CPU cooler

    New Monitor

    Another HD6970 2GB

The new FX chip coming out this year . GRR I hate technology these days cant keep up .

  • temp doesnt "look great" at all XD its all at roughly 70C after only 30min XD

  • the Intel Thermal Solution is much better then this one

  • @DecadenceGaming I can safely say that the Asetek manufactured Antec 920 is superior to the 510LC by a relatively large margin.

  • @AsetekInc Can you please explain the specific reasons why? I'm just researching coolers for my next rig, and I'd be fascinated to know what the "official" response is on that. :) Also, Stu is hhhhhawt.

  • @GapWalker In short, the 920 features our latest cold plate and other technology. Also, the 920 has a larger radiator. Take care,

  • what case was that?

  • My intel stock cooler runs bf3 10c less then this 920....

  • @CrASYmUZIk Are you running an i7 980 overclocked to 4.6ghz? What's your ambient temperature? How quiet is it?

  • i have this thing and gues what YES IT SUCKS IT LIKE A JET AIRPLANE TAKING OFF I NOW I CAN FINE TUNE IT DOWN BUT I WANT COOLING PERFORMANCE WITHOUT THE NOISE OF A JET EGINE THIS MAKES SO MUCH GODDAM NOISE ASETEKINC YOU RIPPED ME OFF WHY TO SELL THIS SHIT PRODUCT MAKE A LARGER ONE NEXT TIME LIKE THE CORSAIR H100 AND LET IT FIT IN THE ANTEC 900

  • @DutchClubSounds You mad?

  • No, no Asetek, please do something better, not this wanna be water cooler.

Until then don't be stupid and do yourself a favor and buy something better like Noctua nh-d14 or Phanteks PH-TC14PE.

  • its normal after turn off the pc the led stauy on?

  • "and the temps look great"

    Temps look like shit bro...

  • You guys gonna make a bigger rad, version?

  • @Bushiey Yes, we are. Stay tuned to our Facebook and Twitter pages for our latest partner announcements.

  • Those temps weren't low, they were fucking high if my cpu was running that hot i would stop stress testing, if you want this cpu cooler don't get and get proper water cooling. i did that stress test same conditions i got max 45c

  • @cod1933 What cpu and cooler do you have??im assuming you have the 2nd generation processors, they run way cooler and more efficient than the first generation even if its overclocked to 4-5ghz.

  • @donkey1450 2700k and i have water cooling with a 360mm rad.

  • @cod1933 so you mean your chip with 4 cores and and only 4 threads and a 95W TDP runs cooler then this 130W 6 core with a 40% OC? shocking. On top of that if they are running a 1st generation Sandy they are known to run hot as balls but are still stable at higher temps

  • Should I blow the air out the back of my case in a push/pull config. Or use a push/pull config. to "suck" air inside my case.

Which one would result in lower cpu temps?

But will the overall temp in the case rise if i suck air in?

  • Those are HIGH temps!!!

  • @AsetekInc is it possible to change the fans and still use chill controll software ?

  • @DutchClubSounds Yup, just make sure you use a PWM/4-pin fan.

  • @shubhamcorei7 Yes, it is prefilled and sealed so you will never need to add liquid. I think you would be very happy with the 920. Take care!

  • Does this Chill Control software support Linux, or just Windblows ?

  • @WalksWithGreys Windows only.

  • @AsetekInc Well that sucks lol.

    I don't do windows

  • @WalksWithGreys Keep in mind you can still use the 920, just not the software.

  • @AsetekInc Yeah I figured that, though it would have been nice to see what could have been configured with the software. For what I do with my computer I think the 620 will actually benefit me just fine. Will be picking it up tomorrow from Red Barn Computers.

  • Does any one know if this fits on the haf x full tower? Thanks in advance!

  • @shubhamcorei7 A quick look at that case and it looks like it would fit fine.

  • the pump of my 920, is running at 3000rpm ALL THE TIME, acroding to chillcontroll, isnt that to fast, when my cpu is on idle?

  • @mordibrordi That does sound pretty high on idle. Shoot an email over to vip@antec.com and they might have some tips for you.

  • 4.6 Ghz at MAXIMUM cooling with a water cooler and you've got 84 and 85 degrees? Go back to the drawing board.

I'm not impressed with the cooling at all. I guess the fault lies in a price point and limited power usage.

  • @BludBaut that is a 980x, one of the warmest chips around

  • @mordibrordi Thanks for pointing that out. Shortly after I posted, I remembered that some of the chips were pretty hot and figured that's what it was or they likely wouldn't be bragging.

Nevertheless, it does appear that some of the huge coolers are as effective (or more so) than the inexpensive water coolers, and that it takes a pretty pricey water cooler to be significantly better, which is great news. Unless one just hates the size, why pay more and risk a water leak when air is quieter?

  • Where can i get that software? I cant find it :(

  • @gaffatape98 Currently, it is only available with a supported liquid cooler like the Antec h20 920.

  • I have just bought a new build (and but it all together) and have installed the Antec kuler 920, and it is awesome, unfortunanlty every time i try and open the chillcontrol software it tells me that it can't connect to the USB. I am getting worried that me not haveing the ability to speed up the fans we i start playing high end games will take its toll on my CPU

  • @kingofallthatisgood Send an email over to VIP@antec.com so they can try and help sort that out for you.

  • @AsetekInc I'm having the same issues with Kingofallthatisgood. @King, what was your response? Has it worked to resolve the issue?

  • @Strigoi0auS I got a response but the guy who sent it must of been brain dead, because nothing he told me to do made any sense, i tried to piece together what he said but it didn't work :( i'll send you the email he sent me, see if you can make sense of it :)

  • @kingofallthatisgood what happened was that you fitted the cooler before installing the software.

Assuming you already installed the provided software from your CD all you have to do is open Control Panel->Device Manager:

Now your pump has not been correctly installed so it's going to be a displayed with a yellow ' ! ' . Hopefully that's the only thing incorrectly installed ;)

Simply uninstall it. Now just r-click anywhere in the DM and select 'scan for hardware change'.

    :-)

  • @Sab8015 I tried your advice, which I admit, was good and something I hadn't considered. It didn't work for me. I took it a step further, uninstalled the software, reinstalled and tried again. Didn't work for me. I turned the machine off, unplugged the usb header and uninstalled the software. Restarted for good measure, reinstalled, turned machine off, plugged header back in and... Still same error message. Unless I've somehow universally bussed my serial, I'm at a loss.

  • @Sab8015 I did what you said but i can't seem to find the 920 kuler in the device manger.

  • not to sh*t all over yr review here but, lately i've been looking into getting a watercooling set again. couple years ago i had one and it was to much work. my whole point to get a water cooling set back then was to get rid of the fan noise, i did manage it and replaced it with the sound of a water pomp ;p and a seperate on/off switch that added that extra bit of awesome to it. my question though is doesn't a fan defeat the whole purpose of a watercooled based system.

  • @damarh The benefit with liquid cooling is that the fan spins much slower (quieter) to achieve the same cooling performance as it would with a heatsink. Also, there is a lot more headroom with liquid for overclocking. Hope that helps.

  • Will this fit an Antec P193 V3? Looks to me like the 200mm side panel fan will foul the radiator.

  • @npike50 Send an email over to Antec at vip@antec.com and they can help you with that one.

  • @AsetekInc Many thanks. I have done this now and it will not fit. They said the radiator fouls the side panel fan.

I am now sussing-out if a Noctua NH-C14 CPU will fit. I like this now because the draught will flow over the M/B heat sinks.

  • Hi, how will this do at CPU speeds of 5.0 and up ?

  • Picked up a 920 today to replace a H50. I'm impressed. Very nice temps from the thicker rad. Air in the pump caused a bit of noise but I've turned my rig on and off about 5 times which seems to have fixed it.

  • i bought the atec kuhler h2o 920 2 days ago , and everytime i try to open the chill control , i get a " device not connected , please check device " error . i did it all right , connected the pwr cable and the usb cable to my motherboard , and even the RGB logo lights up on the cooler lights up and the fans are running , i just cant seem to make the chill control software work . can you help ?

  • @dartdelko Send an email over to VIP@antec.com and they should be able to help you out.

  • 80º is great? wtf

  • @SpringrollPower Given the CPU, ambient temperature, and overclock we were stable with that as a maximum.

  • Antec H2O 920 or Corsair H100 ?

  • @95djantoine95 Antec H20 920!

  • @AsetekInc Why ? What is better ? :D Thank you

  • @95djantoine95 Well, we're a little biased since we make the KÜHLER 920! ;-)

  • @AsetekInc OK :D

  • @Asetekinc i wanna buy the antec 920 h20 but is it compatible with the antec 900 case ?

  • @DutchClubSounds Looks like it should work to me!

  • Antec H20 920 or Corsair H80 ?

  • @5m4dr Antec H20 920!

  • Wow, the Antec H20 920 so far has me really happy about my choice in getting it. With stock 1090T settings (3.2MHz) I'm at 35c 1 hour after turning on Prime95 and I have the Antec 920's software set so that fans have only reached 60%, meaning I could have lower temps! My 'system temp' has aslo gone down 5c+ (from 28c~35) staying below 23c. With the stock fan i ended up having to turn Prime95 off after about 5 minutes into the test due to temps reaching 60c (AMD says that is max for the 1090T).

  • @notthisagain13 Thanks for sharing!

  • Well I have been searching far and wide to find the right cpu cooler for me (and my cpu of course). I have finally settled on the Antec KÜHLER H2O 920 and will be picking it up today from Micro Center. I haven't found anything on the pre applied thermal grease so at this point I will have to get a little of that as well. I am going to be installing this on my 1090T. Will post results later for any who may be interested.

  • @notthisagain13 Thanks for commenting. I would recommend using the thermal paste that comes on the 920 as it is good stuff. (a blend of Shin-Etsu)

  • Comment removed

  • the pump in mine is making an annoying clicking noise!!!

  • @aztecka45 Contact Antec and I'm sure they can help you out with that.

  • 80C?!?!?!?!?! FUCKING CRAZY! but i want to put it on athlon ii x4 630 - how much over clock i can do from 2,8Ghz that i wont be 80C?

  • @mapukmapuk That really depends on a number of factors like ambient temperature so it's impossible to give you a specific number. Our system was stable so we were comfortable with our overclock.

  • @AsetekInc tnx, i will buy this Liquid CPU Cooler soon and check the overclock!

  • @mapukmapuk Post back with your results!

  • Why should I get this over the Corsair solution for this?

  • @Followingalegend ChillControl is a pretty cool benefit of the Antec KÜHLER H2O 920.

  • Comment removed

  • @Followingalegend every comparison I have seen shows the 920 out performing Corsair. I spent quite a bit of time myself researching to finally end up getting the 920. The 920 also has better hoses IMO. I would add to that, but i will be writing a 'mini review' when done testing OC. Also, on my Results below, I believe you can take another 3-5c off the CPU temps ( I am using another program which is said to be more accurate, but still I am averaging it out over 3 temp programs).

  • will the fan/radiator get in the way of the northbridge heatsink on a Gigabyte G1.Guerilla mobo?

  • @JasonChan2008 Hey Jason, I don't have any direct experience with that motherboard, but I would imagine it would depend on your chassis. You might want to email Antec at vip@antec.com.

  • What he is not telling you.

@ full load on a 980x @ 4.8GHZ, the fan noise is very very loud.

Antec could have gone with a lager fan and grill and fit in most cases.

The Kuhler 920 is great for i7 Extreme at stock speeds but NOT with overclocking.

This is also great for i7 2600k or i5 2500k with no overclocking or only moderate overclocking.

However, with extreme overclocking the fan needs to kick into high in order to maintain temps below 90C on the 6 cores.

  • Biggest piece of junk I've ever had. The mounting brackets snap, the parts are plastic...no fucking way I'm having this in my computer. Newegg got an RMA yesterday for sure.

  • a lot of people say the stock fans are very loud O.o

  • @aeroaa2 Granted there are quieter fans out there for $15-$20 each but these fans do an admirable job. The key thing to remember is that you can choose your cooling mode. There is extreme which is for high performance or silent which quiets the fans down. It all depends on your needs.

  • Great cooler, keeping my i5 2500k @ 4.6ghz chilled nicely. And tboybmx... F-off kid

  • Question why is your CPU temp 68c and the Cores are higher? Never seen that. Also you said "temps look great" Huh? Thats running hot and it's only been 30 minutes on Prime95 give it an hour and I bet that PC will Melt.

  • NOCTUA nh-D14 beats this hands down....and Noise wise?...Noctua Bitch slaps this and you would not even hear Noctua leaving the room! Ha!

  • @tboybmx I've owned both, and i much rather 920 with gt 1850's > then d14 weighing down my mobo. and if anything there all in the same ball park of temps

  • Why did you not let us Hear the fan?...Especially on FULL power...Hmm...Maybe because it SOUNDS like a LOUD Freakin Vacuum? Just saying ...when you review...REALLY review. Or, maybe you like the perks the Manufacturer gives yha for giving good ratings huh?.. come on tell the truth.

  • @tboybmx Recording noise on a video doesn't work too well as everyone has a different speaker configuration and volume. If you are looking for noise levels, there are a number of reviews out there that can speak to that. Also, we ARE the manufacturer.

  • @AsetekInc <~~~~You are the Manufacturer? So of course you would not want to let us HEAR the Fan especially at Medium to Full power, If you did noone would want this Noisy vacuum cleaner.

  • @AsetekInc "Also, we ARE the manufacturer." Haha!

  • @AsetekInc lol I own the 920, and trsut me they get that loud doesn't matter if you record from 10 feet away, still going to hear those things.

  • How rare are leaks? If we receive a defective product and water leaks on our motherboard and fries our system would there be refund for the computer or is it a at your own risk thing?

  • @killacam876 Leaks are very rate. Our liquid coolers go through strenuous testing to ensure that. As far as warranty questions, shoot Antec an email to VIP @ antec.com and they can answer that for you.

  • Asoos.

  • I've got one quick question, if I replace the fans with two that run off 3 pin will I still be able to run them and control the fans in the software ?

  • @TylertheGeek28 You will need to use 4 pin fans to take advantage of ChillControl fan control.

  • Cool vid!! , I had a question about the fan speed, I'm building my first computer with this cooler and i don't have an OS loaded yet but i was looking through the Bios under the CPU_FAN header and it shows the fan RPM at around 645 to 650, or is it reading the pump RPM?. Was wondering if that is normal for not having any of the software loaded yet and so far cpu temp seems to hover around 51c idling, maybe its that high because of the fan speed or the thermal paste needs to break in?

  • @OneEyeJay If you have the fan plugged into the pump and the pump plugged into the CPU_FAn then the RPM would be the pump. The pump should be displaying about 1400RM so it sounds like your pump isn't running at full speed.

  • @OneEyeJay If you have the fan plugged into the pump and the pump plugged into the CPU_FAN then the RPM would be the pump. The pump should be displaying about 1400RM so it sounds like your pump isn't running at full speed.

  • @AsetekInc ah ok thanks,I guess the default for the pump and fan is around 650 RPM before an OS is loaded .Well i have OS loaded now and the Chiller software installed and both the pump and fan are running good, and it's keeping CPU around 25c to 30c idle and I'm sure i can get it even cooler then that if i was to mess with the Fan ramp, But so far i7 2600k OC'ed is keeping cool, Awesome cooler!!

  • @AsetekInc I have a quick question. Is the pre-applied thermal compound Shin Etsu X23?

  • @MooshiDash Yes, a commercial grade of X23. You can read more about thermal paste on our blog at asetek.com.

  • Btw does it need a better powersupply compared to stock cooler, i mean so does it need more power/energy? I have only 500W powersupply but i don't need to change to bigger untill i buy like another ASUS GTX 460.

  • @MrMuwexOTHER The power draw is no more than a case fan, approximately 2.5 watts for the pump.

  • How about a Triple 120 radiator edition for the HAF 932 case.

  • Remember, for a PC enthusiast 1 degree Celsius could break the deal.

  • I like this product but so far, Air Cooling is better than this any all in one water cooling solutions. I have an overclocked i7 920, pushing a stable 4.1ghz all on air. I am using the Prolimatech Mega Shadow with 2 Scythe Slip Stream 120. Max temp is 81c running 12hours of Prime 95. I will buy the all in one device once it can get beat all air cooling benchmarks.

  • @vincentquest Keep in mind Asetek's liquid coolers don't put the weight and stress on your motherboard like large air coolers do.

  • THIS vs Corsair h70???

  • @Drebln893 You're going to see better temperatures with the Antec KÜHLER H2O 920 plus you get ChillControl. On the other hand, the H70 is generally cheaper.

  • how long voltage wise would the life of one of these coolers be??

  • @skaterboy379 These coolers are rated for 50,000 hours and have a 3 year warranty.

  • @skaterboy379 does having a usb hooked up to fans causs any strain on the psu or make other case fans/ voltages lower??

  • @skaterboy379 is there a setting that allows the cooler to auto detect when to cool the cpu instead of telling it?

  • @skaterboy379 Yes, there is an automatic setting to let it handle the cooling for you.

  • I saw a review and they showed that there adapters were blue for intel and green for AMD. The unit you used for this demonstration has black adapters, can you clarify this? It looks alot better with black adapters instead of green or blue.

  • @gamerguy12345 You are correct, the shipping models ships with blue or green adapters to make installation easier.

  • I'll pass. I think that I'll stick with my CoolIT Vantage ALC... love the cooling, love the display ;-)

  • if i was going to place one of these in my case which is the NZXT Phantom would i have to remove the side 200mm fan and top 200mm fan?

  • @joseph7413 You would not have to remove them, however, you may want to change the orientation of them to give you the best airflow through your case.

  • Well it has won me over. simply is the best cpu water cooler package in its range, love the features and the price is not bad. Just need it to hit the shelves in the UK and i'll be ordering one

  • all those settings are great but this guy forgets to mention that if you also use a 1155 board you can hook up those 4pin pwm fans to the board and have it control and monitor fan speeds automatically

  • @BrianAppleton1 Yes, you can still do that. The benefit of having it hooked up to the pump is that the fan speed will ramp up and down depending on the liquid temperature. In short, it will give you a quieter system because it won't have to ramp up so fast or as often.

  • ive been planning to get the kuhler 920 a while now but theres still none in stock anywhere in the UK

  • how much diff would yr temps be, say, if you had your apartment/ house air conditioning at 60° ??

  • @skaterboy379 There is a 1:1 ratio between ambient and CPU temperature, so your temps would be about 10º cooler.

  • Lol 80c load temps.... Spend a little more like $50 and go with a real watercooling kit

  • @muzicfreq Keep in mind we've got the i7 980x (a hot cpu) overclocked to 4.6ghz. Temps would be much lower at stock speeds.

  • @AsetekInc Not so true...The i7 980x is built on 32nm which is actually running at a lower power consumption, so lower power consumption means less heat...even if it's a little every bit counts. So that make your Cooler look even more bad. sorry...I know the truth hurts...but hey, don't worry you got that SUPER QUIET fan to help out I guess?

  • @muzicfreq haha yea but u can get the omni cooler ( liquid gpu cooler) with a gpu heatsink, dont think we're going to have too many probs anytime soon XD.

  • What's the software used to monitor the temps? The one on the desktop with the green font

  • @cedrac18 AIDA64

  • @AsetekInc ty

  • 78.5°C average doesn't look that good to me at max fan speed

  • @16SKB Keep in mind we've got the i7 980x (a hot cpu) overclocked to 4.6ghz.

  • @AsetekInc I was just expecting it to be slightly less. But yeah, that must be one hot CPU

  • @AsetekInc even that doesnt mean, that its good - but thats because its a copied version of the corsair h70 - cool it products work much better - and yeah i know what im talking about, i have a h70 and a cool it eco advanced

  • @Wolf9656 I think you will be impressed with the Antec KÜHLER H2O 920 once reviews start coming out. The KÜHLER 920 features our latest innovations including ChillControl software.

  • @AsetekInc yeah graet - a software where u can descide from extreme low to extreme high and everything that is in the middle, u have to do manualy - i can do this with the software sppedfan and it doesnt cost u 1€ - so tht argument doesnt counts. ah and btw tell me why the 620 and the 920 look exectly like the h50 and h70 if it isnt just a copy with one LED added?

  • @Wolf9656 Keep in mind that Asetek is the manufacturer of the Corsair Hydro Series H50 & H70 and the KÜHLER H2O 620 & 920.

  • @Wolf9656 nice how u try to avoid saying anything bad about ur hard or software - so if i understood u right, corsair "copied" ur design. thats what u tried to say, or?

  • @Wolf9656 Asetek is trying to say Antec and Corsair are using Asetek technology. Asetek created and designed the cooling system. Corsair and Antec teamed up with Asetek to distribute the products (a partnership). Have you heard a different story?

  • @davtra when u first said it, it sounded a little bit different - but now u have to explain to me how the 920 shall be better than the h70 if it is the same piece of hardware, just with an other name on it? - the software wont make it better!

  • @Wolf9656 What is the actual question you are asking? Are you wanting to know what makes the H2O 920 a more effective cooler than the H70? I'd like to know the scientific answer too. It could be anything - e.g. improved liquid solution, modified internal architecture (or nothing at all) since the 2010 release of the H70. My understanding; the software just controls the fan speed. Be aware of marketing gimmicks.

  • @davtra the dude from antec or astec?! said that they use the same (internal)design - so the 920 is exetly the same product as the h70. and i know that the software is just a "useless" gimmick, but he tells me that this software makes the cooler better than the h70 (jsut look in his posts above)

  • @davtra The Antec KÜHLER H2O 920 features our third generation copper cold plate as well as new easy-bend tubes.

  • looks good stu

  • How much is this?
