Silent Hill 2 - Cool and scary things (Part 1)

"There was a hole here, its gone now" when I saw this the first time I journey through this game I assumed it ment one of two things. -- later in the game have to explore a darker nightmare version of the town and id have to come back h and go through said hole. Or in silent hill 1 you went to this place and there was infact a hole there. after beating both games, it seems neither is true.

not sure but the "there was a hole here here but now it's gone" examining it may help you get the water ending because the hole being James missing love for his wife but now it is gone meaning he loves her again thus in the end James can't stand being away from Mary and ends up killing him self... not sure though just a random guess

So, I was just playing this and I already beat the game, and I heard the chainsaw at this part and said "Huh, sounds like a chainsaw... wonder why" and just kept running, and RIGHT after I stopped playing, I watched this and realized I could have gotten the weapon. FAIL.

One of the ominous and mysterious things from the Silent Hill games. Perhaps its just a mystifying phrase that makes the player feel uncomforatble and eerie. Mission accomplished.

@guilhermewolfman i know this is an old comment but, there is a mentioning of Walter (the antagonist of SH4) in a newspaper in this game, so, whiel it is more likely they didnt have 4 planned, they could have.

so walter in my opinion was created for two possible reasons:

1- being a protagonist of a paralel history just to scary players, nothing more than that...

2- or they were really planing to do the game previously

actually if you ask me I take number 2 since SH4 is one of the most disturbing ones along with SH2, and I do believe that SH4 happened before SH2, just sayi´n

@guilhermewolfman Alas, the SH4 does happen AFTER SH2 :3 As Frank Sunderland, James' father, says that his son went missing in silent hill.

@guilhermewolfman In fact, you find a picture in the living room and if you press X on it (in certain point in the game I don't remember) Henry will say that it was taken in Silent Hill. He adds that Sunderland gave him the picture and that his son (James) disappeared in the town some time ago while he was looking for his wife.
