I want to download this from amazon, but they have many versions and it's specifically this one I want! Do you have any info that will lead me to the exact version? Thank you in advance :)
This YA novel from the 1960's, "It's Like This, Cat" brought me here. The protagonist describes it as "Slow, but kind of powerful, and it makes you feel a kind of power yourself, as if you could do anything." But it's not slow at all, and it is VERY powerful!
Brilliant piece! I am grateful that the kind workers who work at Smetana's museum in Prague that allowed me to get into his museum while i was there on their off day in 2010 ! I feel like going back to Prague badly right now when I am listening to this piece !
I heard it first time in school, like a lot of people too.. in those days I didn't nearly understood the feeling and grace of this masterpiece. My mind simply wasn't prepared and couldn't understand, that I've just heard a piece of such beauty. Timeless
@elarox15 you will be a good person if you stick to what you know, why? because you can still watch cartoons like a child and appreciate music like an adult :)
I played this song in a 2010 Tour to China with the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra was HUGE. It was amazing. Easily one of my favorite pieces.
Our orchestra in high school is playing this...I only hope we don't butcher it to the point of disrespect to this amazing piece of music.

Instead of the rap music which you hear people playing in thier cars (because they play it so loud) I will play this, at the same volume.

@JingleJoe Why is it that people with the most powerful sound in the car usually have the worst taste for music?

@JingleJoe Well, I do that every day of my life... what's wrong with doing it? ;-)))

I heard a part of this song on an episode of Little Einsteins on disney junior.
I decided to look it up and I instantly fell in love with this piece.
btw, I am 17 and, yes, I still watch disney junior. don't judge me (x

This piece is played excellently, but the erratic tempo changes don't give the right effect in my opinion. It's a river, not a rollercoaster!
