I LOVE Neocate! It saved my son's life! He has severe reflux & FPIES. I took him to a local ped, told me it was colic. I knew that wasn't it. he projectile vomited, had bloody stool, & constantly spit up,screamed & crunched himself up an hour after eating.went to another ped, did a test on his stool & said the blood levels were so high, he was about 1 day away from going into shock. He was only 7 weeks old! Put him on neocate & prilosec ( for the reflux) an he was a new kid in just a few days!!
Also, he was only in the 3r percentile for height and off the chart for weight, that was at 7 weeks when we went to see her, now he is 5 months old an in the 50th percentile for height and weight! 16 lbs 10 oz an 26 inches long! Praise The Lord for having someone invent NEOCATE! Also, the way my ped explained it proteins in nutrimagen are broken down part way, imagine dashes in the protein chain, neocate is broken down further to dots... for a mental pic. the antibodies cannot attatch to dots.
Therefore, the body cannot attack itsself with the neocate! My son's body was doing that... His Tcells were actually attacking his intestines! He is healed now and should grow out of it by 1 year. and very thankful wic help pay for neocate as well! Thank you for posting this video! Neocate is wonderful! They also make NUTRA, a spoonable food, aka cereal substitute, for kids like mine with protein allergies. He loves it. $25 for a can same size a formula can, but worht it, lasts long time. :)
I just started neonate I wanted to ask did this change anything in his feedings when he was eating baby food. Ethan starts baby food in October and if this works what kind of changes should I be seeing with his food or regular milk when he's one
@thesocialbutterfly22 I honestly cant say a whole lot about how it changes his feeding habits, I started out breastfeeding him and he would nurse about 2 hrs every hour, more or less as a comfort, so even when we switched to bottles he continued to do that, and once he started baby food he would easily overeat and throw up, As far as once he turns a year old, it depends on if the allergies are still there, Israel's last testing was positive for milk, so now hes on neocate jr. instead of infant
@Jupiter1984Yuki Yes he did, I cut out dairy and other allergies he was dealing with and it didnt help, His pedi said it was bc of a lactose intolerance as well, and theres no way to get the lactose out of breastmilk.
Same exact thing with my son! He is now on Neocate and we noticed it in the first feed too! I am so thankful for it! :D glad to hear your son is doing good on it too. :)
@nannerskins I totally agree, Thank God someone was smart enough to create Neocate instead of babies just having to suffer. Its good to hear your lil one is doing good also! :-D
