  • thats freakin asome

  • thats an ogoshi sir

  • What do people consider crossing the feet in this video? The guy at 2:27 merely brings his left foot over the head instead of keeping it at the side. The guy's heels never cross and lock.

  • Coming from a college wrestler and amateur MMA fighter wouldn't advise using this video for instruction, from their description and instruction it would be extremely difficult to hit this very basic move in a match or fight.

  • good to see bjj utilizing throws. although, technically ippon seoi nage (which was demonstrated about halfway through) is actually a shoulder throw, not a hip toss. ;)

  • shouldnt be going into that position at all to finish with the armbar, after the hip throw you should rest one knee on the chest and remain up in that position to finish it

  • Um, instead of crossing the feet to finish the armbar at 2:27, you're suppose to kick the left leg on the LEFT side of his head, in which it'll give you more leverage to pull.

  • crossing ur feet isnt always the best idea during an arm bar

u should hook ur heels behind ur opponents head and have ur other foot hooked in ur oppenents ribs

  • its easy turnur thumb dorn and roll

  • How do you escape that style of arm bar?

  • This is one of my favorite combinations.

    Nice and simple.

  • WHAT?!?!?!?!?! FORCED ADDS!! GET OUT!!

  • Come on guys, wer'e all grown ups here, lets show each other some cyber respect.

  • very poor throwing technique as usual, by a non-judo practitioner, trying to do a judo throw. learn judo if you want to throw, learn bjj if you want to grapple, learn both if you want to learn the original judo before judo was turned into an olympic sport and bjj concentrated on the grappling part of original judo founded in 1882.

  • @oOChaosWolfOo In my humble opnion it really does not matter: the goal of the leg that goes over is to keep him down, the other leg (the one that goes over or under) is mostly for prevent the opponent to roll over.

So basicly, the legs are for pinning him down, either way does the trick (I'm only beginner so might be wrong though)

  • @MrBudoKaie Well it seems like the leg going under would give you better leverage to break the arm, but it looks like he could roll out of it in that situation..

  • @MrBudoKaie I'm no beginner, but i'm no professional. In the Marine Corps i was always taught to keep both legs over.

  • or 1

  • no press 8 fast

  • For Dead Man's Punch repeatedly press 5 at a moderate speed.

  • i smashed someones tooth out doing this

  • i broke a kids elbow doing this lol oops

  • O Goshi

  • @CyBeRTRoNFLuX Koshi nage

  • judo is the same :|

  • @MegaDo7a i know, but BJJ fighter far more focus on the grapling and submission techniques than Judo fighter. and those techniques are indeed come from judo, and judo is come from jiu jitsu.

  • @MegaDo7a not realy this is for fighting a biger aponet and its also ground fighting not throw and run away judo is cool though

  • There is so much bad technique in this video I'm not sure where to begin.

  • isnt it called jiu jitsu ?....

  • press 8 a lot of times xDDDD!

  • The Teacher is gassed and breathing hard after what two tosses damn Cardio needed too.

  • press three alot of times

  • Can't watch any more vids with a throw then go straight down into an armbar.

  • good jiu jitsu but did you record this video with a potato?

  • Bend knees deeply and stick hip out to side as much as you can.

  • All you idiots who use the comment area to argue and call eachother names need to grow up.If you dont agree with something someone says why dont you try correcting them in a constructive manner. If they chose to reply negativley then be the better person and move on.Remember there are lots of kids who watch these videos who are interested in bjj. They dont need to see all this negative crap.GROW UP!

  • @CURTISHUNDLEY1073 Great coment dude. I´m agree with you

  • shouldn't be crossing your feet to finish the arm bar at 2:27

  • There are many systems of Jujitsu, and in some cases it's good or bad to cross your feet for an armbar. But yeah, usually it's bad, or useless.

  • @reddragon99100 you shouldn't cross your feet because you lose leverage.

  • Comment removed

  • i know, hence why i posted the comment you shouldn't be crossing your feet to finish the arm bar....

  • Comment removed

  • @ESoutherling i know mate, thats why my originaly comment says you shouldnt cross your feet to finish the armbar

  • Comment removed

  • @reddragon99100 Everyone has a dominant side that adapts a more precise technique than the other side. Notice the first one he did; he didn't cross his legs. ^_^

  • @FinalFan0 You shouldn't cross your feet to finish an arm bar, weak side or not, don''t make excuses drill slower on your weak side so you don't develop bad habits

  • That's why he didn't. Or did I miss something?

  • @reddragon99100 why not? as long as the grip is tight enough then it's fine.

  • keep hitting 8 it looks like a monkey is fuckin his arm

  • LOL they dont even break fall, theyre gonna break their arms.

  • keep hitting 1 it looks like he's getting belly rub. awww

  • this is like karate

  • looks gay but it can sometimes save the life

  • what if he dont have belt

  • haha ..he's breathin so damn hard ..

  • @nikesoccerfly make sure your good and tight against your opponent. squeeze the shoulder and arm with your legs and bridge. oh yea... don't accidentally break his arm. and when you're doing armbar drills don't actually try to execute the armbar fully. just get into position and make sure your form is good, otherwise it will lead to tendinitis down the road. its also not a bad idea to wear a cup. lol

  • press 3 and 8 lots of times seperatly

  • when ever i try to do a arm bar it doesn't hurt the guy i don't know what im doing wrong is he playing me or am i doing it wrong

  • @nikesoccerify when doing it make sure their thumb is facing upwards, and that both legs are across his chest and his arm placed inbetween. then you just pull the arm towards you while pushing it down at the same time. be careful because it will very easily brake the arm

  • I think 8's the funniest.

  • press 7 for a lot of funnier action

  • thats just the uchi mata

  • Funny how the "blue student" does O-Goshi and then the teacher + white student do seoi nage. Doesnt matter really but meh :)

  • Pathetic that almost all comments were of perves looking for buttons to press to show bad scenes from perfect Jiu Jitsu. Thumbs up if you agree.

  • press 1 over and over looks to me like someone like theyre belly rubbed ^_^

  • bend your knee's....

  • IF you didn't work this very well, the opponents can directly have you in rear-naked choke???

  • press 8 = ARM SEX

  • press 7 then count i secound and press seven again keep on doing this and it looks likes he's punching him!

  • If you press 8 repetitively it looks like he is raping his arm...

  • its seoi nage its really hard to do in a match

  • @enkhbattsenguun It's O-Goshi and seoi nage is done alot in competitive judo

  • dat dnt work unless ur bigger then ur the other guy

  • this gets to me!!! its not a BJJ technique its a jijuitsu technique!

  • press 1 a lot...it looks like hes trying to kill the guy XD hahahaha

  • imma try this..

  • LOL 1:18

  • LOL 1:17

  • LOL 1:15

  • thats all are almost judo just with small fouts i know becous i have brown belt

  • @wojtekbelgia

That's true. Hélio Gracie, founder of Gracie BJJ, had a 5th or 6th degree black belt in Judo. So it's evident he was inspired by Judo as well.

  • Damn, I can't wait to start BJJ in March. I'm really good at wrestling, and I went to a Jiu Jitsu camp last summer, hopefully BJJ will be more challenging.

  • is judo or jujitsu

  • wow youve actually done it.........you basically just took a judo throw and put a bjj label on it......you dont understand the physics behind it, or its name......just kill yourself :/

  • @Thydeepestfear - He he he.. I didn't know Ogoshi, Ippon Seio Nage and Juji Gatame were invented by the Gracies! ..

Most Brazilians deeply respect the original arts. My mate from Brazil says they don't claim to have invented anything. It's really the Helio branch of the Gracies and American fans who've tried to re-label these ancient moves.. And most practitioners can't be bothered to learn the true history of their art.

  • @henh32 ippon seoi nage is from ninjitsu

juji gatame is from japanese Jujitsu

O goshi is from Japanese Jujitsu

    you are very wrong

  • @CzechMmaNinjitsu

    Wrong about what?

  • @henh32 sorry, i misread your comment :P

  • @CzechMmaNinjitsu - Ok. No problem.

  • @ZeroZenZo thank you for showing the idiots everything they're ittle pothetic minds couldnt grasp :)

  • I'm so tired of getting of youtube, and watching a video and then scrolling down to find a huge, pointless debate on which martial arts is better. and its not just with martial arts. its with music videos and and TV shows chuch norris/ bruce lee, and just about ANYTHING that ANYONE could POSSIBLY have a PERSONAL opinion about. everything suddenly turns into world war 3 in video comments!!! EVERYONE HAS PERSONAL OPINIONS AND GUESS WHAT, THEY DON'T ALWAYS AGREE WITH YOURS! k im good now.

  • why you bbj guys trap the body first with the arm bar instead of face? guess it dont matter if you get it. but we generaly from standing armbar, dont trap the body just swing leg round head blocking b ody with shin. its our combat version. if i hada another camera id show you what i mean.

  • eso es judo, no jujitsu

  • LOL press 6 fast a lot of times

  • @manxxx95 Love it!!!!! works for all numbers!

  • @gmangsxr750 xD ye

  • @manxxx95 i dont get it

  • @wwenils1 It the position the guys are in , lmaoo

  • @manxxx95 Try 8!

  • @manxxx95 press 5 realy fast!!!

  • @manxxx95 u legend lol suck cum

  • @manxxx95 Press 4 over and over its even funnier =)

  • @manxxx95 Hahaha xD

  • hu ju jitsu isnt japanese is brazilian

  • @06Rojas There are many types of jiu jitsu : brazilian, japanase, american...

  • Click 4 repeatedly lol

  • yall niggas is gay.

  • I went to watch my friend fight in the small leagues and when he got caught in that arm bar ive never seen him scream so much in my life.

  • his armbar is very similar to gsp's

  • is this legal in wrestlig ??? please reply

  • THIS IS FRIGGIN JUDO LOL. OGOSHI AND I DONT KNOW WHAT LOCK

  • @domassan juji gatame

  • That hip toss morphed into a shoulder throw. But at least it shows the versatility.

  • bow sheets

  • title clearly says hiptoss, then he starts demonstrating shoulder throws like ippon seoi nage?

  • @DOWNwithToyStory fat peaples

  • @adrianopolitan what?

  • whoa whoa.. can't we all just be friends?.. hahah

  • watch all this video on expert village. u will be expert in village.

  • Why is everyone arguing about the origins of judo/bjj instead of pointing out the clear lack of details in this video and the horrible demonstration of this technique by the white belt.

  • I'm sick of seeing judo being called bjj, especially when bjj is just another variation of jujitsu and judo, in which south americans try to say they made up, it comes from japan everyone thats a fact.

  • lol, this expert keeps fuckin up in these videos. "daridp", thanks for plagiarizing the renzo book (or was it the royler book- its been years since ive read either). and "dangerdarf"- please stop taking karate and calling it jiu-jitsu. jap-jitsu is for bitches

  • @eternalnameless Actually I practice Judo its just good to know who really started your martial art and why.

  • @eternalnameless Thank you.. I practice both doesn't really matter to me. daridp sitting there copy pasting haha

  • which grip would be the best to do? if you used the grip shown at 1:31, the guy could easily get you in a headlock which obviously wouldn't be good.

  • @bearsfan213 It's not the grip its the set up to find the grip to perform the technique. Against the unknowing its just dodging strikes to get there. Against the knowing it becomes a chess game of doing the steps to make the opponent give you the opportunity to perform the technique. When you are taught by or under a senior Judo BB they will talk your ear off about how grip is key Gi/No-Gi.

  • @bearsfan213 I would also tell you to youtube some Olympic Judo Ippon(perfect score aka win) matches to further acentuate my point.

  • Lol 1:19

  • the teacher seems out of breathe and out of shape...im sure i could out grapple him

  • @chilidog1001 what makes you think that? you simple dimple

  • @chilidog1001 ur retarted bjj has nothing to do with ur physique and i no him and hes a beast

  • @joshlovsbball so your saying a fat out of shape dude has less of a chance against a fit and agile frame...you obviously don't train at all

  • @chilidog1001 ya because brazilian jiu jitsu doesnt mean the fastest and the strongest will win thats like exactly wat it was made for for weaker opponents to beat stronger ones and u think just because ur in better shape u cud out grapple him idc if ur like i have better jiu jitsu but just physique, come on .even roy nelson in the ufc is super fat no muscle at all but hes a beast and is makeing more money and has more fame then u do

  • @joshlovsbball Of course it has a lot to do with your physique.. Yes, BJJ is designed around fighting stronger or fitter opponents with ease but of course your own flexibility and strength will help out considerably

  • this is more of a judo move .. it was one of the first things i learnt when doing judo

  • Fuck you bitch this is a JUDO no "JuJitsu"

  • @bilionareful He was wearing a BJJ blackbelt, the red stripe is on the end gives it away. There are hip throws are in BJJ because it came from Judo.

  • @daridp Judo came from Jiu Jitsu num nuts

  • @DangerDarf Judo came forms of Japanese Ju Jitsu which were fighting techniques developed by the samurai. Kano Jigoro(founder) took from these forms all the throws and techniques he believed required technique rather than just strength. In the early 1900s when a member of the Gracie family was taught Judo its name was Kano Ju-Jitsu. The name was changed to Judo by Kano Jigoro in the 1920's to differentiate what was being taught in Japanese schools and other Ju-Jitsu which mostly resembled aikido

  • @daridp Yeah See I just called it Jiu Jitsu.. Said nothing about BJJ. A actually practice Japanese Jiu Jitsu. So thanks for confirming exactly what I said :)

  • @DangerDarf But it isn't Japanese Ju Jitsu.

  • @daridp This video is BJJ correct. But Some guy was saying Jiu Jitsu came from Judo and I was just correcting him.. Right?

  • @DangerDarf No you basically made yourself look like an idiot.

  • @daridp Your the guy jumping into other peoples debates like that annoying kid in class. You read the gracies book well done.. So far I everything iv said has been correct your the one that keeps taking everything out of context. Go practice your arm bars so we can roll :)

  • @DangerDarf Or I simply stated that the martial art being performed here is BJJ. Its BJJ because the instructor is wearing a BJJ black belt. That is not to say the same techniques are not in Japanese Ju Jitsu, Judo or Sambo or one is somehow better than the others.

  • @bilionareful true true

  • @bilionareful shut the fuck up. this is jiu jitsu. you obviosly no NOTHING about martiarl arts you illiterate fuck

  • @bilionareful lmao judo derives from jujitsu learn your facts no offense

  • @bajanninja Maybe you should learn your facts you fucking retard, Jiu jitsu derives from judo, and judo from JJJ. Oh the Irony. No offense of course

  • @officerredfield lmfaooo are you kidding me im pretty sure that i stated that judo derives from traditional japanese jujitsu

  • @bajanninja now i feel silly :P sorry, thought you were saying judo derives from bjj

  • @officerredfield xD its cool i just want people to understand that jujitsu came first then judo, aikido and bjj =D no harm done

  • @bajanninja true, however they are extremely different

  • @bobbysaysyo true do to the fact that brazillian jujitsu focuses on ground work more, judo focuses on throws, aikido focuses on locks and real jujitsu focuses on all of the above

  • @bajanninja Yeah, but Gracie Brazilian Jujitsu is derived from Judo which is derived from real jujitsu. Mainly Kitoryu and Tenjin shinyoryu.

  • @thfpt Thats correct Jujitsu is historically, and originally Japanees.

  • @thfpt learn your history before you give people false info

  • @thfpt "from real jujitsu" Theres a fake jujitsu? LOL

  • @mig73kg yes but arm bar is jj :)

  • it's not a Jujitsu Technique, it's a judo technique.

  • @mig73kg actually it is used in almost every fighting styles out there. in judo, grecko roman wrestling, jui juitsu, etc. It doesn't matter where it originates from. it is an effective techinque ;)

  • thank for the video. keep it up

  • yes that actually01 4

kind of helped00 that is why jujitsu is superior to all other martial arts and makes it unique

  • bjj is so sick

  • I hate when people call dis gay. But its not gay when u gettin your ass beat.

  • @1hwwtv No, it's gay to the people surrounding them in a fight cheering the guy on, until the guy bust out a BJJ move and breaks one of his limbs, then it's cheating. I know this crap from experience...

  • keep clicking 1:53 lollll

  • lol keep on pushing 1:34

  • lol at 1.11 it a speach fail

  • o goshi, koshi guruma y seoiippon nage y la tecnica de suelo es juji gatame me suena del Judo kodokan

  • Expert village, i have a question. Can you do the hip toss to people over your weight?

  • @bobyer2 totally you see ive been in a few fights what you want is the step in between hislegs and then you know wha to do you need position not strength

  • @bobyer2 yes.

  • @bobyer2 sure. my grandpa studied judo in okinawa and he told me that the master was about 5 feet tall and 90 pounds. but he could throw people who were 200 lbs clean on their head.
