@guntforsure A lemur? Hrm. Let me check. I don't think so. I know Jus†ice has like 2 or for of these. XD....... Looked up the picture. Yes, you're right. They have two lined up vertically and have two behringer BRC's beside them with 2 pairs of synths or something beside that.
the short repeats which are the ones I guess you mean (on the page with the graphs) are Lucifer VST which I sell for $99 (it does much more than buffer tricks).
The longer loops (1-2 bars) are done with the LiveOSC vst which are commanding Live to loop a portion of a clip which is a different result (when you disengage, the song continues from the looping point, whereas with a buffer effect the song continues playing though not audible)
I don't share source code for many reasons. In this case I can't share the result either as became a work for hire.
The SDK's are VSTSDK, WOSCLib, LiveAPI and can be found easily through netsearch if you want to build something similar, it took about 3-4 days to get everything you see working.
oh and btw beautiful controller i want one but its out of my budget as i just bought an apc and cant really justify spending anymore money on toys right now
How do you nudge the playpoint back/forward 8bars? And setting the loop with the current playpoint as loopstart? Is this possible sending sysex messages to a Live API as control surface?
I track timing+clip activity in a VSTplugin which is the master OSC device to to speak, it handles sync info + OSC messages to/from Lemur and OSC messages to/from LiveAPI.
That is indeed cool. Just wondering what the buttons on the bottom in Lucifer mode on the Lemur, the beat repeat thingies, were programmed to do in live? Were they doing Beat Repeat but with different Grid settings? Also, what songs were you playing?
everything on the Lucifer pages controls Lucifer over OSC (I wrote Lucifer which makes that part possible, I added OSC support for my personal build). Lucifer is making the beat-repeat type effects.
The tracks are BSOD-BSOD and BSOD-Echoes which can be found on beatport
Sweet. I'm Nathan R from the LiveAPI project, just wanted to say I saw this and I was really stoked to see someone utilizing the techniques. Very good stuff!
cheers Nathan, really nice to hear from you, a hundred thanks for making + releasing the LiveAPI, works like a charm and nicely extends what is possible with Live!
Is this Duda? Sure sounds like him..
