  • I understand that raw talent just isn't enough. It takes strict discipline combined with hours of practice and an everlasting goal of perfection.

  • This should be part of school education.

  • this is silly. but I do like the expression "waltz on outta here!"

  • wow....bad dance..

  • Just like nyan cat and that nickelback song... if you combine this video with the audio from dance with the devil by breaking benjamin, it's pretty cool :)

  • they are flying :D So pretty :))

  • wow..im so inlove this dance

  • A waltz takes so much space...

It only allows one pair to dance..

While everyone else stays in the background..

    T_T

  • Can somebody tell me what's the name of the song, it is so beautiful!!! the dance is soo beautiful, amazing!

  • @divlin13 I found it! yeah! :) Olivia Newton John - Sam :)

  • Great dancers...not too crazy about this song for the Waltz.

  • This makes me cry every time I see it. Maybe it is the music that makes me so sad

  • I would not have the room to dance like this in some of the snake pits I've danced in.

  • complimenti, bravi e molto delicati nel ballare il ballo dell'eccellenza,il valzer lento................bravi e bel video

  • I just love it so much!!!!

  • nice dince

  • nice dince

  • Whats the name of the song! Anybody????

  • They floating :) Beautiful dancers+beautiful dance.

  • What is the name of the song ?

  • Bravo!

  • Damn

  • Marcus and Karen Hilton. The best dancers I´ve ever seen.

  • So beautiful, graceful.........Wouldn't you like to learn to dance like this with that special someone in your life? I really don't dance well, but I think in time, I could catch on or have fun trying anyway.

  • It's amazing how much talent some people have. Absolutely beautiful!

  • @jbennettnc

I agree. Did competition dancing for 2 years. Wasn't even closed to this.

  • Excellents danseurs! Une danse de toute beauté! Un tout grand bravo et merci mille fois de nous offrir un si belle démonstration!

  • And it was filmed properly, without those irritating closeups that the film and television people love. Ironically, Fred Astaire never put them in any of his films but kept the whole body in shot all the time.

  • its like their feet r attatched!

    wndrfulllll!

  • It has taken me 3 months to figure out the first 10 seconds of this routine...

  • Beautiful:)) this dance makes me speechless:)

  • wow!!! I hope my ballroom dance instructor can teach me to do the waltz this way.

  • Comment removed

  • @twinkletoesIndia2011 @twinkletoesIndia2011 definitely possible but i hope you will stay with your ballroom dance instructor for many many years if you want to do waltz and elegant and beautiful as these 2. causes these guys takes no short cuts -from a dancer that danced many years and no where close to these two

  • @nelsland - I plan to stay with my ballroom dancing and I love the waltz. but I don't think I will ever be this good. Thank you for your kind words. You are very sweet to give me encouragement.

  • @twinkletoesIndia2011 '

no this is hilton the god of dancing if you are going to do dancing for 20 years than you are half as good as him!

  • @dancer19941000 - oh I am not sure about that. I have some excellent instructors. Time will tell.

  • @twinkletoesIndia2011

ok if you are 7 years old than i give you a chance but if you are 16 or 17 and now want to sart daning you can be great oder authem but not as god as him!

  • @dancer19941000 Well I am not 7 nor am I 16 or 17 but I will keep on trying and I think my instructors are both excellent professional dancers so if I stay with it long enough and concentrate on this dance (Waltz) I will be happy if I am only 1/4 as good at these 2 dancers. That will make me happy.

  • @twinkletoesIndia2011

    how i your instructer?

  • 12 people are too fat to dance...

  • @joaofernandes612: You can't say people are too fat to dance, unless you think they're over 200 pounds.

Our school has 15 couples, and there are a few couples that aren't slim at all, but they dance great. I think it has to do with talent rather than weight ;)

  • WOW!!! I hope my dance teacher will be able to teach me to do the Waltz like this. This dance is so beautiful to watch it brings tears to my eyes.

  • The Waltz is considered many things. a slow dance or a fast dance. it all depends on the moves the dancers make

  • And I call myself a dancer xD

I love the way how classical basic moves are incorporated with modernized moves..Just lovely

  • So beautiful!

  • wow! :D her dress is so beautiful Oo it makes the whole dance even more dreamy :)

  • Hi, I came accross a new Waltzing CD on the Classic FM website last week and decided to purchase!! Its great so I though i'd share with you keen Waltzing dancers. Classic FM have also dedicated a webpage to teaching the dance steps!

  • what is the name of this song? :)

  • Are you seriously seposed to dance waltz too that song?

  • how to download this beautiful video??

  • how to dowload this beautiful video??

  • @eunisze019

youtube downloader. they have a special downloader you can use for free. "google" it :)

  • What's the name of the song?

  • That was gorgeous!!

  • Beautiful,....simply the essence of grace in motion.

  • So pretty <3 They're gonna make us waltz in gym class D: LOL. My classmates are nice though. And I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one falling on my face.

  • Can someone please help me with a question about waltz: when you see waltz like this one for an exemple, and than look at a movie, like Disneys Cinderella, that is also waltz but they are not the same at all, I always get so suprised over how fast they are dancing waltz at tv and in real life, when it is going slowly, slowly in movies... is there different kinds of waltz...? Can someone help me? :)

  • @missbs1 It all depends on the pace of the music. You have to follow the sounds of the music with each step. For instance: you can waltz to both Open Arms by Journey and She Dances by Josh Groban but Open Arms is much slower so you will have to slow your movements to accomadate while with She Dances, you'll speed it up because the usic is a little faster ...make sense?? :)

  • @buddyche Thank you :)

  • @missbs1 Also, these are Gold Level dancers, which means they have left behind the beginner level 123 steps, and are now passing their feet. Very advanced stuff.

  • @foamulator Thank you :)

  • Marcus and Karen were world professional champions for some 7 years in succession and then I believe, retired from competitions. They hail from Rochdale in Lancashire, England. So talented, classy and wonderful watch, which is more than can be said for some of the so-called 'show dances' that pass in the name of entertainment today.

  • @missbs1

Haha what buddyche and foamulator said is very true, but what i noticed in movies is that usually when they dance a waltz for example they try to keep the feeling, the idea most people have with the word 'waltz', but doing an actual waltz wouldn't look good in a movie.. with the camera turning and turning and the couple turning away from the cam :P Usually it's just a little slow movement xD

  • @missbs1 In movies when they waltz, they are usually doing a Viennese Waltz, rather than a normal waltz. Viennese Waltz is much faster and moves mostly by turning, whereas normal waltzes (like you see here) has a lot of times where the dancers are just traveling straight without turning at all.

  • @TheLekila What 'waltz' means depends on where you're from. In some countries waltz is what the English refer to as a Viennese Waltz, while the slower dance would there be known as the English Waltz (or sometimes, Slow Waltz).

In US-America, I think the American-Smooth Waltz is danced at a tempo that is between that of the English and Viennese Waltzes, similar to the Australian New Vogue Waltzes (sequence).

  • THAT DRESS IS GORGEOUS!!!!

  • That was a beautiful waltz!!

  • @merliah8888 Olivia Newton John: Sam

  • looks like a school gym

  • Like dancing in the heavens!!! So royally romantic and with majestic smooth ease... so I want to learn this dance I dreamt only of in my head until now.

  • oh my god so beautiful <3 like flying!

  • Aesthetic

  • GOOD!!!!!!!!!ˋˇˊ

  • Action is very neat

  • great!!~

  • @f246887 Good job@@

  • Excellent!

  • goodjob

  • i find this the most romantic type of dance especially if you imagine them in the victorian era and in a magical ballroom the feel of a princess

  • @AuStRaILiASiDnii I was thinking the exact same thing

  • even though their dancing.. i don't really look at their feet. i like to see their face expressions x]

  • simply lovely

  • crap.... and I thought I had at least some moves.... I'm so waaaaaay off!

    inspiring though :D

  • Group2: hesitation - chasse to the right - outside change - fallaway slip pivot - double reverse 4x - rudolph?/ronde? - line

  • Let's see if I understand it. Starting with natural turn.

Then what here is called double spin turn, extended 2x3. Ending with natural turn.

  • great

  • Spinny- spin- spin- spining @_@ woah lots of spining. That looks like there is lots of skill needed though. It's beautiful though. :)

  • ah, simply beautiful!

  • wwaahhh! lovely.. :)

    beast. @.@

  • клааасссс

  • great

  • beautiful !! it actually reminds me of the disney dances in beauty and the beast...or sleeping beauty...

  • "Sam" by Olivia Newton John. This is a cover version.

  • Wow, those spin turns are so powerful. As a beginner student I can appreicate such a powerful turn as it feels hard enough just holding your partner close while doing them.

  • This is only instructional video that Karen wearing a beautiful and fuller dress which covers most of her legs while they danced.---dancewu(dot)net

  • I would like to know the figure'name. The figure is the one from the Natural Open turn.

Marcus is doing Ronde. I want to know what type of Ronde.

  • yuk: In their video "Simply Beautiful Ballroom-by Hilton" Waltz Group 2 step #38 Lady to Ronde her R leg. Or in YouTube "Marcus & Karen Hilton Waltz Showdance WSS" 1:36---dancewu(dot)net

  • I have never seen Marcus and Karen did the running spin turns, running feather natural pivots so much in one sequence. Simply very beautiful! I love these as much as their same foot lunge...All these made the Ballroom dancing into an art form--- the tradition of the beautiful Ballet!---dancewu(dot)net

  • Beautiful interpretation of the music! I enjoyed it very much.---dancewu(dot)net

  • Marcus and Karen Hilton have been wonderful, and this particular Waltz is particularly marvelous! I enjoy watching them dancing at their prime! This video was made probably the same time I watched them performing in person in Vancouver,1990. Because they both seemed looked even younger. Do you have a record when this video was made? and what was the title of the album ?--dancewu(dot)net

  • Olivia Newton John 's version is different from the one in this video. Plese teach me who song this version.

  • Me parece que un baile tan bello no puedeverse tan tenso como lo hacen lo bailarines de competencia... no creo q en los tiempos de STRAUSS SE HAYA BAILADO DE TAL FORMA

  • Pleas teach me who sing this music?

  • It is from "Olivia Newton John"

  • Olivia Newton John is known for this song, but this isn't her version. I have her version, and the tempo and harmonics are different than the one in this video.

  • What a breath of fresh air to see such harmony smoothness and style which sadly is almost lost in this crazy world where many are forced to live like over stressed controlled robots.

    Keep elegance and freedom alive.

    well done.

  • blame the thoughts and theories of existentialism. it affects everything, causing the emergence of hip-hop and even loss of your grace and freedom.

  • and the music...perfect couple

  • You people are very graceful!

  • This is the best waltz ive ever seen! Thanks for posting it!

  • May I ask you what is the name of this song? I really love waltz, and especially like this!!! This song is so moving... And the dancers are absolutely perfect! Thank you very much for your answer :-)

  • the name of the song is 'sam'

  • Thank you with all my heart :-)!
