This is the easiest and cheapest way to make a home-made pop filter, definitely! Thanks a lot! I suppose the circumference can be smaller if you like. Am I wrong? I'm asking this because I've just recieved a Logitech USB Desktop Microphone I bought on the net (you can see pics to check what it's like) and I just want to make one but not too big. How thick does the wire have to be? I'd like to know if the wire can be rolled into the base of the mic. Thanks in advance for you reply. Good job man!

And now answering your questions:

- yes, the circle can be smaller, no problem

- the wire can be 1~2 mm thick, should be enough

- yes, you can roll the wire into the base of the mic, just make sure you don't scratch it

a pop filter is used to remove all the p's, s's and those annoying little sounds that come out of your mouth before they reach the microphone. If you watch videos of people recording their songs, or doing a podcast, you will see many of them have a pop filter in front of them and behind their microphone.

This allows the recording to produce the best sounds that come from his/her mouth.
