i only feed my snakes pre killed mice i would never dream of feeding them guinea pigs or hamsters for the boas,retics,boa constgricters and rock pythons im planning to get to jump start my reptile buisness wen i can get it started wen they are at a certain size i will have to feed them rabbits unless i can find a better substutute but anyways i love your vids =)

@Lolaluv246 You should change. Aspen and Pine is not very good for them. Change to something else like wood shavings or care fresh. :) You can change the bedding slowly, over a week or two, first day, sprinkle some of the new bedding, next day, put more new bedding, and on and on. :)

For food I reconmend Tesco Guinea Pig Food its really nice and bosts Vitamin C levels plus my piggies love it. Its also quite cheap only about £2:50 for a 3kg bag. Love chew chew when I get a perivan piggie its being named Chewy!!!.

Does white post farms ship pigs to the us? I know it seems far fetched lol but in the us no one breeds guinea pigs :/ love your videos btw! I wish my parents would let me get a guinea pig! :(

101DutchChocolate: I would seperate them for a week or two, but put the cages together (unless you have a c&c cage, then just split the cage in half with a grid) and then put the guinea pigs back. c:

Love your videos! I have a question. I have two guinea pigs and they are both male. They are always trying to mount each other 24/7. It has been a couple months now and they haven't stop. :/ Is it normal or should I a separate them?

You have beautiful guinea pigs. My cavy Sprite came directly from a small breeder and I have noticed she is alot more "alive" to say in the face then those at big petstores like Petsmart or in your case Pets at Home. I was told its because those guinea pigs have been neglected and have not been given as much attention as those that live with people in their homes, or in a place like White Post Farms. I want to get one from a petstore to give it attention it never got. Anyway, good luck!! Thanks!

@waffle2882 in the uk u can get them at b and q. In the us u can get them at any hardware store such as lowes or the home depot. It's called coroplast and comes in huge sheets.

@guineapigspigs Yes pine is bad for them :( Pine and Aspen are not very good. Switch to other wood shavings or care fresh :)

if your sawdust starts to smell aswell you can get like lavender scented and lemon scented shavings(if you have a paws for thought in nottingham like we do in leeds but i am sure you can get it from pets at home too!!)

Your cage is so nicely built and i definatly GOT to build my guinea pigs a new cage, And its true what you have said the fleece and blanket sheets they pee and poop everywhere! Doesnt the wood shavings pierce their nose and make them bleed sometimes? I use something called megazorb in their poop trays.

I love your cage & Your guinea pigs are too sweet, I'm thinking about making an c&c cage because I want more room for my piggy to run around, I've found the Wire Mesh Cube Matt Black on the b&q website it's Now £22.48 I'm sure I'll be able to afford that, What size do you think I should get? i use kitty litter ino its quite hard buh i only put it where she goes potty buh everywhere eles i use sawdust and hay she loves it :)

Is that a Pets At Home bale of sawdust I spy in the bottom right at around 4:54? Is that where you get your sawdust from? I'm just asking because I'm getting an African Pygmy Hedgehog in a few weeks and I need to know where I can get a good quality, dust extracted, not pine and not cedar sawdust from.

@Totallywild624 - I use MEGAZORB for bedding it is natural pulp fibre granules 4X as absorbant as shavings, check it out on the internet, I highly recommend it, and so much cheaper than carefresh I pay £5.75 for a massive sack from the local wholesaler.

@TheWildchild1999 - I get the wagg pellets from Asda too and mine love them, as well as the mix. I also get the guinea pig excel pellets which are supposed to be the best but they don't always appreciate them.

By the way, I love your channel. I'm using sawdust,too for my guinea pigs. Nearly anybody uses fleece in Germany and the guinea pigs don't mind. Actually I think they can walk better on sawdust than on a fleece.

Its a shame that people question everything that you do as regards to the shavings and food and what not. Its so obvios that your pigs are more than well looked after. If anything they are treated like gods lol. If your guinea pigs are eating muisli its prob best that you stick to it coz changing them over is hard work and could poss make your gorge piggies ill, If you do wanna change it excel guinea pigs food are really good. hi I buy pets @ home guinea pig pellets (called nuggets but exactly the same) you can get them from any store and a medium bag actually last a long time for me hope this helps =] p.s. sorry won't let me put link but if you go to the pets @ home website and search guinea pig nuggets you should find it

i have you idea. i have to seporate my guinea pigs. i have 3 now. Do to fighting reasons. My oldest was attacked, paw was cut, a hole in both ears, one nail completely broken off. He is doing very well now :)

You have really lovely guinea pigs. :) I have 2 piggies from a pet shop but I didn't know about rescue centres then and I have 1 from a friend. From now on I will only get guinea pigs from a rescue centres or a good breeder unless my friend's have a guinea pig needing a good home! :D

My video the shavings are filtered so there is no dust. There is absolutely no threat to their health. any more of these comments telling me what to do will just be deleted.

with the carfresh its $50 i n the u.s!! what i used to do when i used shavings is i mixed carfresh with the shavings its soo great like that.and if you only used carefresh it lasts u 2 weeks without smelling!!& the sawdust thing um well sawdust is soooooooooooo dusty.so i'm guessing it's aspen shavings.but remember never use pine or cedar.

When I say "sawdust" the stuff is actually "Wood Shavings" i've put an annotation in my video now. Everyone in the UK just calls it "sawdust" The stuff I buy is dust extracted, I buy the most expensive version for the best quality.

They have all the records of the animals they sell etc, you can view the parent animals and if you are looking for a specific breed they can tell you if they have any upcoming births etc. They also run guinea pig and rabbit shows although i've not been to one.

If you want pellets in the UK you can get Wagg Optimum pellets from just for pets and i think pets at home should sell it.And i saw some in countryWide :D

in america I got my piggies for $30 each. So $60 for 2 piggies is a good deal=)

And yes I love sawdust too. i use fleece for my 2x6 cage because carefresh and sawdust are soooooooo expensive. But for my other 2x4 I use sawdust and it is totally fine=)

@MoandSnoopy242 Yeh my piggies are doing great. I think their feet are in better conditon as I found that when they weed on the fleece, even though I put towels underneath they would lie in it so it wouldn't dry! they would get yellow bellies (yuck) and wet feet :(
