So I am playing Buddy this summer in WI. Having watched hours of documentray footage, grown up listening to buddy and blah blah, here's what I've come to observe. that the spectacle of the clear lake show in the musical, is symbolic. While the real life version was four guys and a couple mics, they were/are in a sense just men playing. However, recollection and hindsight make that night out to be so much more. We rarely remember things for what they were, but rather we wanted them to be, legend.
it's absolutely stupid to present the last tour of Buddy with big orchestra. That tour was a disaster, Sometime Ritchie valens play drums for buddy due of the lack of musicians. The bus was in bad condition, Buddy made this tour only for money. At this time he had brock with Norman Petty and all of his royalties were blocked by this fuckin' gay Petty.
Hi, listnen to this. Maybe Body Holly was the first rapper in the world. What life in this concert! Sad to say, only few hours after a fantastic concert Buddy Holy and Ritchie Valens died in a plain crash. Something to think about. Praise to YouTube for allowing anybody to share their most precious moments to the whole world. Really BIG!!!

@buddyfan1959
Buddy's guitar didn't have a rosewood fretboard. All of the Strats that Buddy played had a maple fretboard.

BTW what is the song between 3:00 and 3:30?
JohtajaIbor 3 years ago
The song is called "Words of Love". There were a couple songs with similar chords to this one. Including "Listen to Me".
This guy is a good singer but I think the pace is a little too fast.
