Then there was a scene where he said he had been talking to her for weeks and she helped him to find himself again and reconnect to his job (helped take away his misery). We never saw them kiss on screen though.

I´ve never seen such lack of enthusiasm to ask someone out. Not a smile while talking on the phone. He looked so much happier when Garcia was in the room with him. Here´s the sequence of events in my mind: he looks at Garcia's picture, smiles, sit down, appreciates the desk she decorated for him and thinks: "she´s out there with that Kevin guy. Why am I here by myself?". He takes the phone, thinks a minute more, and makes the call, not quite sure of it yet. rsrsrsrs

I will never be convinced that these two are not in love with each other. Garcia is the one Morgan is closest to of all of people that he works with. The irony is that he doesnt spend that much time with her. Because the team is usually away on a case. In the episode lessons learned you could see the tears of relief on Garcia's face when he answered that phone. So I dont by this friendship only thing. There is a connection that goes beyond friendship that neither is willing to admit to yet.
