Did you know that Zero's design was originally intended for X? Apparently, Capcom wanted the new Mega Man to have at least some resemblance to the original, so the developers were forced to create Zero to avoid wasting work that was already done.

The first maverick master I beat was actually Storm Eagle, although when I finally managed to beat him I did have the boost upgrade. I always had soooooo much trouble with Chill Penguin (although I was 10 years old at the time). After beating Storm Eagle I discovered that Flame Mammoth was weak to his power, and using Mammoth's I FINALLY managed to best the Penguin!

x has always had the dash system but it wasnt activated till he got the leg part of the armor so from after megaman x the dash system was activated

Chill Penguin was a member of the 17th Polar Battalion before Sigma went maverick. Chill Penguin joined Sigma because killing people is more fun than patrolling Antarctica. He is also known to be jealous of X, because Sigma favors X, who is a "B-class hunter", over him.

This game is not hard or medium for me. It's so fucking easy. Anywas, Vile in the intro was unbeatable but in the fortress I accually beat him. I used Flame Mammoth's weapon and Spark Mandrill's weapon and he went down.

It may be a worthless thing to mention, but years back, I used to play the game on SNES9X emulator. The game was buggy as hell. Between stages, I would lose the armor I acquired, even the dash, and once in a while, I would be sent back to the intro stage, but I kept all my weapons. Surprisingly, I still managed to make it to Sigma without any armor, even that pit in Sigma's stage that looks impossible without the dash. However, I could never kill Sigma cause I kept taking so much damage.

There is really no good reason to fight anyone but Chill Penguin first, but it can be fun to do the bosses in reverse order. Not getting the dash until the end can be quite the challenge

You say you don't know anyone that doesn't take on Chill Penguin first. Well here I am, I don't. I always take on Flame Mammoth first. Main reason, by going here first I can get the heart tank in Chill Penguins stage next, then I get the helmet from Storm Eagle's stage, and finally backtrack to Mammoth to get the arm upgrade, heart tank, and sub-tank.

I just find it faster to go through Mammoth's stage again than to get the heart tank from Penguin's stage later on.
