@TheFolkow this is an original arrangement of the song by the Beatles, Stephen Bennett used the real song to create this song which is really cool because it plays both the rhythm and melody line on the guitar, very challenging !!
Thanks for the tune and enjoyed seeing you at Winfield. See you next year. Maybe if you could bless my guitar before contest it would bring me luck in the fingerstyle contest! All the Best!
It's not the kid's fault that people like his songs. He's actually very good. Not a fan girl or anything, just saying his race has nothing to with the fact that he's damn talented.
I want to see you again!! I am the young woman who stayed after, MUCH AFTER, when you Antoin and Andy were cleaning up after in cleveland..I really admire this song and hope we all can see each other again! It was real cool shooting the breeze afterwards and hope you would love to too!Audra
@Lottechoco That's because there are a heck of a lot more people Sungha's age than Stephen's surfing the web. Furthermore, I highly doubt that Stephen cares.
@freemonkeys802 Yeah but Stephen made the arrangement. Do you know how brilliant he is for this? You clearly don't understand music.
Not only did this guy fit the entire song (guitar part and melody) on one single guitar arrangement, he plays it extraordinarily. Then this asian kid comes along, plays it sloppily (it being STEPHEN BENNETT's arrangement), and racks up the views because he is young and his crazy asian parents make him practice 4 hours a day.
@Lottechoco although his music was stole but a korean kid doesnt mean anything as you can see he has no dislikes but that kid has a a brave few so the people who watch this oves think he plays it alot better
@Lottechoco Sungha Jung didn't "steal" the song. He gives Stephen credit for having arranged the song in his description. In fact, Sungha gives credit to the composer of every piece he has covered on Utube. The reason Sungha gets 2 million views: Many more people his age on youtube than Stephen's and a 12 yr old would rather watch a kid his age play, than a guy old enough to be his dad. Even if Sungha only plays it excellently, while Stephen plays it superbly.
You ought to know that a French jazz guitarist named Sylvan Luc also plays a slight variation on your arrangement of Blackbird. It's a solid tribute to your piece.
Thanks for a nice performance; I have heard maybe about 7-8 other arr's of Blackbird, but not this nice one of Stephen Bennett's, so, it was cool to both see and hear his approach to it, which is cool with his harmonisations of and register shifts along the way, .......
I can tell by your right hand that you've gotten 'some mileage' over time, in your practice of solopieces; though, I have no idea who you are, first time listening to you.
Really a top version of this classic. I remember playing a crude 3 string arrangement 20 years ago. It's just great to see and hear it so proficiently played here/.
Great arrangement of this song... I got turned on your style and arrangements through my listening to micheal hedges and andy mckee. I saw andy perform last year in the DC area, which was a great show - wish you'd make a trip this direction sometime as well!! Cheers!
Awesome sir, hearing you play your own arrangement after hearing everyone else doing it. You make it look easy, you make it look fluid and melodic - looks easy but I know it's not - great skill sir. Great talent.
Oh wow ! did not know you were on youtube ! a comment on my cover of your brilliant arrangment led me to look you up and here I am ! you've got a new subscriber :)
