  • you make me sick! :) beautiful interpretation my friend!

  • Wow - Eddie VanHalen is really back this time, and (though I know this was posted in 2010) I just discovered Steven B. this morning.

I'm smiling: for me anyway, 2012 is the year of the guitar!

  • Wow!

  • Mr Miaggi -- your guitar fu is strong

  • is this the real blackbird song or an exctended version? i don't get it...

  • @TheFolkow this is an original arrangement of the song by the Beatles, Stephen Bennett used the real song to create this song which is really cool because it plays both the rhythm and melody line on the guitar, very challenging !!

  • ..... Sungha Jung in the Future?

  • Brilliant! Culture isn't cheap!!! You've got it!

  • WOW!!!

  • @Lottechoco Stephen released his Beatles Acoustic Guitar Solos in 2005 which has this song on it

  • @Lottechoco It's not stealing if he gives all the credits to Steven

  • stephen your such a cool guy, would you like to be my second dad?

  • proffesional here. chek this dude out!!! 0 dislikes!!! thumbs up if u want it to stay like that!

  • excellent version, and so much your style. Thanks so much for ur help and interst at Kaufman Kamp in 2010. I'm still inspired.

  • Ah-so! Miyagi-san play with fancy flying fingers!

  • @Lottechoco The Korean kid uploaded his in 2007, this was uploaded in 2010

Never the less, this is a beautiful song :)

  • Stephen,

Thanks for the tune and enjoyed seeing you at Winfield. See you next year. Maybe if you could bless my guitar before contest it would bring me luck in the fingerstyle contest! All the Best!

  • @Lottechoco

It's not the kid's fault that people like his songs. He's actually very good. Not a fan girl or anything, just saying his race has nothing to with the fact that he's damn talented.

  • all for us ignoramus-i

  • I want to see you again!! I am the young woman who stayed after, MUCH AFTER, when you Antoin and Andy were cleaning up after in cleveland..I really admire this song and hope we all can see each other again! It was real cool shooting the breeze afterwards and hope you would love to too!Audra

  • High class, both arrangement and playing. Love it.

  • Gooosh I'm just falling in love with your playing!!

  • Awesome!

  • TAAAAAAAAAAAAB !!!!! TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB :(

  • gosh thats flipping clever!

Id love to be able to improvise like that......sigh

  • also thankyou .... that melody line is perfect and your an amazing man

  • wicked man ....i am a fan .....

  • @Lottechoco That's because there are a heck of a lot more people Sungha's age than Stephen's surfing the web. Furthermore, I highly doubt that Stephen cares.

  • That like to dislike ratio makes me smile. But now that I've said that it's going to be ruined =/

  • hey there Stephen, would you like to adopt me?

  • @Lottechoco thats cuz the "korean kid" is like 14!!! this coot is about 80 w/ probably more than 2o years of experience

Sungha Jung hasnt even reached the AGE of 20!!!!

  • @freemonkeys802 Yeah but Stephen made the arrangement. Do you know how brilliant he is for this? You clearly don't understand music.

Not only did this guy fit the entire song (guitar part and melody) on one single guitar arrangement, he plays it extraordinarily. Then this asian kid comes along, plays it sloppily (it being STEPHEN BENNETT's arrangement), and racks up the views because he is young and his crazy asian parents make him practice 4 hours a day.

  • When you think your good at something... a Asian kid shows up

  • where can i get the score or the tabs ? ?

  • mr miogi masters guitar - bravo

  • wow, the father of modern physics managed to discover the theory of relativity and arranged a dope version of blackbird. amazing.

  • Do we think this is in standard tuning?

  • @takesacue yes

  • are you really friends with tommy emanual?

  • @TasteForDisaster YouTube shows of them. They've performed together, so I'd presume they have some sort of relationship with one another.

  • @Lottechoco although his music was stole but a korean kid doesnt mean anything as you can see he has no dislikes but that kid has a a brave few so the people who watch this oves think he plays it alot better

  • beautiful

  • Difference between most other people is this man is flawless, even when he isnt, i dont hear it...amazing

  • This arrangement is gorgeous.

  • Greetings from São Paulo, Brasil! Cheers!

  • @Lottechoco He gave him credit.

  • @Lottechoco Sungha Jung didn't "steal" the song. He gives Stephen credit for having arranged the song in his description. In fact, Sungha gives credit to the composer of every piece he has covered on Utube. The reason Sungha gets 2 million views: Many more people his age on youtube than Stephen's and a 12 yr old would rather watch a kid his age play, than a guy old enough to be his dad. Even if Sungha only plays it excellently, while Stephen plays it superbly.

  • absolutley beautiful

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!

  • good to see no dislikes on a good video =)

  • make that 3,000,000

  • Notice, there's not one dislike. Rightfully so.

  • beautiful mr myaguy !

  • I need to learn how to play this so bad!

  • very smooth!!! paul would love this!

  • genius! thanks for making me weep.

  • You ought to know that a French jazz guitarist named Sylvan Luc also plays a slight variation on your arrangement of Blackbird. It's a solid tribute to your piece.

  • ...simply...amazing

  • What I meant to say is that your music never fails to inspire me to keep practicing. I hope to see you in SoCal soon,

  • Your music never fails to insure

  • absolutely fantastic! Not taking anything away from the little korean kid (who I'd like to beat with a bat... he's too good for my liking)

  • Thanks for a nice performance; I have heard maybe about 7-8 other arr's of Blackbird, but not this nice one of Stephen Bennett's, so, it was cool to both see and hear his approach to it, which is cool with his harmonisations of and register shifts along the way, .......

I can tell by your right hand that you've gotten 'some mileage' over time, in your practice of solopieces; though, I have no idea who you are, first time listening to you.

  • i want more videos from you!!! i demand it! you desreve the zilion clicks on youtube

  • Wow! wonderful arrangement, perfomance and tune! Congrats and best wishes Karlheinz

  • you're my hero

  • wow! amazing

  • out of this world what an amazing guitarist this man is

  • Really a top version of this classic. I remember playing a crude 3 string arrangement 20 years ago. It's just great to see and hear it so proficiently played here/.

  • M a r v e l l o u s :-))

    PS

The Real Stephen Bennett arrangement LOL!

  • aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwesome!

  • Thank you for such a wonderful arrangement! No wonder people cover it so much. great version!

  • I was one of people who posted this arrangment, but i can only dream about your feeling master.

    Cheers from Poland :)

  • Great arrangement of this song... I got turned on your style and arrangements through my listening to micheal hedges and andy mckee. I saw andy perform last year in the DC area, which was a great show - wish you'd make a trip this direction sometime as well!! Cheers!

  • Awesome sir, hearing you play your own arrangement after hearing everyone else doing it. You make it look easy, you make it look fluid and melodic - looks easy but I know it's not - great skill sir. Great talent.

  • rock on, brother!

  • p3erfe3ct armony

    giusi

  • Great arrangement and very fluent playing!

  • standar tuning?

  • Great to see you posted this, as you gotta be sick & tired of me asking for it every time I run into you! ;-)

    Hope all is well bud....

    Rgds,

    Joe Carpenter

  • You sir, are severely underrated, I would expect a video of this magnificence to have at least 100,000 views!

  • this guy is a shredder

  • Oh wow ! did not know you were on youtube ! a comment on my cover of your brilliant arrangment led me to look you up and here I am ! you've got a new subscriber :)
