@fatima23reed yes they do I have made rugs with them I make crocheted ones. I believe you can knit them also.

Those little washer bags (the mesh ones for socks and such) can be used to wash the skeins in the washer. Just put one skein per bag and your golden.

you know you can just cut the notch and then rip it into a strip. its alot faster

You can dry it by putting it in a lingerie bag which is a small mesh bag that has a zipper or draw string... I use these with my yarn in a cool dryer to remove cat hair.
