  • i'm gonna sing this at my school talent show <3

  • How do people like this? o_o I'm trying to figure it out...

  • @youandihavenolife Lots of people have lots of different tastes in music. It helps when the artist is attractive.

  • @LairdOliver I know. I say the same things all the time. But the voice...... and how the music doesn't really blend together.... But maybe I'm just the only one who thinks this. ^-^'' Besides, it's not like I can sing at all, so.

  • @youandihavenolife Shut up and go please yourself with your whore...really leave us be and play 'music' YOU like! Good day!

  • @EmoCandyPop :< I wasn't hating. o~o

  • @youandihavenolife And let me just add that, for me at least, her music has an element of Narm Charm. That is, it can be ridiculous at times (read: random screaming in Opheliac), but that just makes me like her even more. :D

  • @youandihavenolife I know u have right to think what you want and express them as you wish and I respeckt that.... but maybe you shouldnt express them here where alott of Emelie Autumn fans are going to see

though I think it was wrong of emocandypop to go all out on you

  • @keyofdawson Dude, it really shouldn't matter what I think of it. For the record, I wrote a whole paragraph to someone on one of her other songs, saying positive things about her, etc. I clearly was not hating; I'm just not a fan of the music. She clearly got famous for a reason, and I respect that. It's a good thing that she has put her past into music that people will like. But some people just don't. It's not a big deal.. It's called opinions. If I was bashing her, then people could get mad.

  • @EmoCandyPop Seriously? Let people have their own opinions. Emilie wouldn't like you calling this person a whore, anyway.

  • @SlymeGreen Thank you! :D I wasn't hating on her at all. I even was saying positive things about her to someone somewhere.. Idk where. But I should've said something less rude to respond to the song... I don't usually act like that.. But I really disliked what I heard, but I wanted to continue finding out what's good about her music. I ended up finding out about her past, etc. That changed my views on the person, but I still am not a fan of the music. But EA fans shouldn't be mad at me for that.

  • @youandihavenolife I completely agree. People can be ridiculously defensive, especially Emilie Autumn fans. But, really, they should be able to respect the opinions of others. To each their own, and all that.

  • @youandihavenolife I thought the same when I first started listening to her. Now, not only has she grown on me, but I really like her personality and the things that she writes about. Plus, she does all of this stuff by herself. All of the background vocals are her, and she can play a mean electric violin. I suggest listening to some of her instrumentals. Manic Depression is one of my favorites.

  • Bwaaaahaaahaaa. Emilie Autumn's coming to Cleveland in February. I really hope I can get to go. D:

    Spread the Plague!

  • I think its a good song, but it ruined it for me when she just threw F**k in there 2:57.

  • Ahh..this song brings back memories of when I was put into a mental institution.

It was hell but the whole time I sung Emilie's songs, especially this one.

Got me through a lot (:

Misery loves company, and company loves more.

More loves everybody else, but hell is others...

  • @mizzmonie100 I'd sang Evanescence. :)

  • mordekaiser!

  • I have a feeling the Emilie is really over 1000 years old and mentions it in songs just to throw people off to it...

But shes awesome so 1000 years of her would be completely AMAZING

  • Pray for Emilie you fuckers, if you fucking dare. <3

  • To all Emilie Autumn haters think of leaving hate comments I suggest you don't! EA fans are vicious! If you don't believe me just read on!!!

  • "Hell is others." Love the Sartre reference. :)

  • "You're so easy to read, but the book is boring me."

Yep, that about sums up my sentiment of many people.

Only 1 error in the song lyrics is "others" being "other Hers", this being a context clue taken from "Who's getting warmer now that I'm gone". Just the hardest lyric to hear, felt I should clarify. I first heard it as "but hell is just a hearse"... but that didn't make as much sense.

  • @CrabBabble I don't think it's supposed to be "other hers", I read her book, and she actually uses "Hell is others" as an expression. I don't know if she MEANS "other hers" by it, but I know the actual lyrics say "others". Just putting it out there o:

  • This song sounds really weird if your right speaker is blown out lol

  • I'm a plague spreading crumpet/muffin! Spreading the plague where ever I go

  • @vinnie181

Why? because you have this awesomeness cranked up i'm sure!

  • love this song <3 reminds me of people xx

  • Industrial!

  • Is this about her Auditory Hallucination s> ?<

  • @rjrudder Obviously what it looks like: a song by Emilie Autumn.

  • @rjrudder an achievement guide for cooking a grenade in modern warfare 2. Titled 'Misery Loves Company".

Mann, I don't even know whether to laugh at the stupidity of you now knowing who Emilie Autumn is, or if I should laugh that you honestly thought that would be the title of an achievement guide.

  • You're so easy to read, but the book is boring me

  • f*****ing clever lyrics x

  • such a perfect song...

  • I always thought that "But Hell is others" was "But Hell is not for her". I still keep hearing that!

  • I just fucking love her and get crazy with it... X.x

  • This song is so fucken AMAZING

  • I started listening to EA only a couple of months ago and I was hooked after 2 songs. Now, I'm hopelessly addicted and listen to her every day at work for 5-6, sometimes full 8 hours a day. It's almost hard to believe that one person can be so brilliant, talented, creative, beautiful, emotional and just overall amazing. <3

And a big thank you to wingedzephyr for all these wonderful videos. :)

  • @ValdrVagnbrautar I wish i cud listen to music in work. They have the radio on but its full of crap music. Bloody radiocity and juice fm. I need some Emilie to help get me through it better.

  • @ADyingFaith Get an ipod or something ?

  • Just one more selfish lover to add to the list of all the others.

  • Comment removed

  • The only other song I've heard from her was "Liar" and that was, frankly, sick (I heard that was the way the Joker {Yes the Joker from "Batman} would feel about a girl. But this song is actually brilliant. I first found it on a Simpsons video about two depressed characters, and I love it!

  • Know this is a type of song i can relate to. Love it.

  • hmm...i had no clue who this chick was, then i saw it on a voltaire song, and its pretty interesting...

  • 103 don't want company <3

  • They need to make a 20 minute version of this song so I don't have to keep hitting 0:00

  • @KiIIroyWuzHere Try YouTube Repeater. Usually works well. :)

  • the 103 people who have disliked this doesnt know good music even if it bit them in butt

  • i love emilie :) i almost have my whole school litsening to her songs. Be it to say i have been a very busy Plague Rat. XD

  • @KindraHilbert I admire your work. Good luck with the last few.

  • Humm good instamental, good lyrics. dont care for her voice tone. Still listened all the way to the end, there is talent there.

  • @lkuhhdsfgasdgvdadfg do you like her other songs?

  • @CountessKitty18 I listened to most of them. in all of them i came to the same conclusion the instamental is great the melady and so on all good. but her voice.. She sounds fine when she isnt trying to sound low. she has like an amy lee thing going on. but most of the tiome she just goes to low and the sound isnt good

  • Only one word to describe this - Eargasm. :D

  • I like how she repeats the same line over and over again to make sure people get it and think about it.

  • Awesome song. Full of irony, wonderful lyrics...And nice music as well.

  • You worship satan

    christian worship jesus

what the difference? jesus is satan

    Fail.

  • ok my cousins girlfriend told me to look up emilie autumn, and i am soooo glad i did. shes awesome! thanks chelsea :)

  • This was the first song I heard by her... I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

  • the violin is so touching

  • omg she is soo great! her lyrics are totally perfect and she is inspiring! i love you emilie!!!

  • Her style of music is so different to what is played on the radio. It's just amazing :D

    <3 EA

  • You're so easy to read, but the book is boring me...

  • ~It's not the time

I feel that way often floating trapped within time and space!

  • My new favorite song ^,..,^!!!!!!

  • :D

  • i love this song <3<3<3

  • HAHAHA the first thing my 5 year old nephew said when I started playing this: Is dis a dirty song?

    HAHAHA X)

... IDK why I just shared this XD

  • I absolutely love the fact that she can sing in many styles. It's not possible to bore of her music because she does so many different types! It's one of the reasons she one of my most favorite singer. Even though I sing classic originally, I love covering J-Pop, and I love rock and ballads. If I ever became a professional singer, I'd want to sing lots of different genres, just like Emilie. <33

  • quit listening to her unless you actually like her like us plague rats

  • Plague rats are people that spread the plague, the word of Emilie Autumn... Muffins are fans.

  • @iiirrroonnnn So, does that make me a Plague Muffin?

  • @PurpleRaveGirl Or you could be a Puffin.

  • @iiirrroonnnn So... What happens if I want to be a gerbil with a cupcake?

  • @LordSia13

Then you'll need a LOT of surgery, O Clever One. *-________-

  • @PurpleRaveGirl So long as it's Franken Fran holding scalpel, I'm happier than a pig among guinea pigs!

  • @LordSia13

    lol wut?

  • @PurpleRaveGirl ... Obscure manga with dark (though not quite black) humour and lots of guro... And if you don't know the meaning of the word, don't look it up. You'll regret it.

... Then again, you like Emilie Autumn; you may or may not like it, depending on how much you enjoy the grittier parts of Miss Lucy's Leeches or Gothic Lolita.

  • @LordSia13

Oh trust me I know *all* about guro... heheheheh

  • @iiirrroonnnn crumpets are fans -,.,-

  • @MrsTakumi Crumpets are the backing singers/dancers/performers. You dipshit.

  • @MyImperfections1 hey chill out right no need for the foul language

  • @MrsTakumi Sorry, I was pissed off, at something else.

  • @MyImperfections1 it's all good no harm done :)

  • @iiirrroonnnn I guess that mean's I 'm a plague muffin!

  • @YesImACunt

Your username explains your comment. <3

  • @PurpleRaveGirl Just being honest. The music's not terrible but usually fandoms have dumb names.

  • @YesImACunt

Meh, I think it's actually okay... At least it goes with her music, you know, with the whole Victorian theme. "Little Monsters" just kinda sucks. LOL

  • @PurpleRaveGirl But the plague had nothing to do with the Victorian era. It was in the Middle Ages.

  • @YesImACunt Emilie's music has all different themes, like I feel that her Enchant era has a bit of a Middle Ages theme. Also she loves rats, I think it's suits :D

  • @YesImACunt actually there was a small break out of the plauge in the victorian era. But it died out before it spread.

  • @YesImACunt hey im both :(

  • @YesImACunt Belieber (Bieber fan) is the worst, though. It just sounds so stupid, you just want to gauge out somebody's eyes when they say it >_< At least plague rat isn't some dumb half-assed pun.

  • @YesImACunt Everyone has opinions. However, opinions are like your private area. It's fine and dandy you have one, just like everyone else, but sometimes it's best to not broadcast it.

  • @YesImACunt as is "yesimacunt" a worse name than "plauge rat". think about your comment before you post.

  • @YesImACunt I understand what you're saying. I love Emilie Autumn, but I feel Plague Rat fits pretty well. She loves rats and whatnot...

But the worst is Belieber, or however you spell it. Ugh.

  • @kipkayify I thumbs up and approve this becuase of your spelling xD

  • my favorite Emilie Autumn song <3 Its just so catchy!!

  • I have actually just found this artist through Looking up Rose Red and hers came up. I actually really love her music.

  • @Nevadora That is the same way that I was able to find Emilie! I am forever grateful to that song coming up in my life about three years ago so I could discover this woman! ^^

  • EA is fricken amaaaaziiiingg!!!!!!!! Shes so talented

  • @YYMONSTER The term 'plague rats' refers to the really major fans of Emilie Autumn - basically, the fans who are devoted enough to copy her image or who at least own every album, know every song, etc. Now you know.

  • @angelmitabrokenwatch

So you have to be a completely obsessed rabid fanboy/girl to be considered a Plague Rat?

  • @PurpleRaveGirl no. You just have to like her music and be a little of a fan.

  • @TanyaRayne

    That's what I thought too

  • Love it

  • Like if you associate this with Mordekiser

  • Best song in the world...fact no opinion

  • Why is every one of Emilie's songs linked to that boy committing suicide?

  • @TifaAyase Search triggers. They search the tags, the description, and the comments. Then a computer analyzes everything and does the featured video according to the common threads found in the data.

  • Of course Emilie wouldn't change if she would become mainstreet.

Instead, we would have PLENTY of "plague rats" who just became her fans and know maybe one or two songs and couldn't even listen to all of her songs and would leave her music after 6 months or something.

    You really want that?

Happy to live in Europe, if that happens in America.

  • i like the songs that she writes that are extremly different like 306, i want my innocence back, i know where you sleep, etc. some of her songs, like this one, are starting to sound almost normal. :( its just not as random and this one especially sound almost one of those BBDQT (beach blond drama queen toothpick) from disney channel. her voice isn't as extreme as her other songs.

  • traumatizedollie and NecromanyUnbound : please stop being snippy to each and listen to the song. Or whatever else you do with your lives. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, don't jump on people if they don't hold the same beliefs. Unless they don't like turtles. In that case, you're dead to me. Thanks :D

  • i absolutely love how you make the emilie autumn lyrical videos. they're really good! well done.

  • I have loved Emilie's music since I first heard it in late August 2010. However, my friend said it kept her sane, and at first, I didn't understand her. But now, since my psychosis has fucked me up so horribly in the past few months or so, I have began to understand.....

  • Listening to this song has gotten an emo friend of mine worried about me. ^_^ God, I love this song....

  • Sounds like a love triangle.

  • If you wanna hear her on the radio do what I did. Buy a cd player for your car, buy Opheliac, its at Hot Topic ( I don't normaly shop there but the cd wasn't at best buy) and listen to it on the radio.

  • wouldn't* boyfriend spilt water on the keyboard so its not working well

  • I actually got in trouble for going goth. Fuck Authority, I love EA more.

  • I'm a plague rat misery loves company is the story of my life

  • Story of my life

  • Uhh.. at least she's hot?

  • @afkadventuring uhh.. atleast shes talented? -.-

  • @afkadventuring no no no ur wrong she hot AND talented get ur faacts straight! :P

  • Want to get EA on the radio?! I certainly do!

I think EA fans across North America should get organized & call radio stations on a specific day & time to request the SAME song by EA.

Visit my channel for details about voting. Give this a thumbs up if you think it’s a good idea & so other fans will see it.

    <3 EA

  • @rsgirl10 she's not ment for the radio. Considering I'm in the radio industry I know. Her music would be popular on regual FM. Sattlelite maybe not top 40. Mine u I'm a huge EA fan I wouldn't want her on the radio. She's victorian rock....it wouldn't go with her style.

PLUS her music isn't lisenced to be on radio. Only certain songs can be play on the radio. The FCC would be all over the music banning it.

If you're a real EA fan you'd let it be. She isn't ment for us radio.

  • @GrayxMoth

I don't think anyone can say "You're a fan if you (don't) do this" I'm trying to organizing this & I'm not even doing that.

Appreciating an artist's work is the only requirement to considering yourself a fan. I respect your opinion & since you're in the music industry I'd love to pick your brains. But I object to you telling people, what not to do. If you don't want to hear her on the air then just don't request her. Don't put others down who want to hear EA on the radio.

  • I find this song perfect

  • I have not heard real music until I heard Emilie.

    Plague Rat.

  • Damn, until i saw this i was singing Company loves war >.<

  • I really wish she was out more. I mean, she's a great singer, she's really pretty, and she is just wow. But everyone is now into weird pop. Which makes me sad. But I do love her music. She inspires me.

  • "Go to Heaven for the climate and Hell for the company"~Mark Twain

I don't mind going to Hell, as long as I get invited to the Devil's tea party >:)

  • @Swirlspill That is charming :)

  • @mercedeschachabaca Thanks :D

  • I'm thinking that plague rats across North America should get organized and call radio stations on a specific day and time to request the same song by EA.

My vote would be for this song. Think it's a good idea? What song would you suggest?

  • @rsgirl10 I'm all for that plan. I've contemplated calling a radio station and requesting an EA song, but I know they won't have it. :( If a thousand or so people call in, they'll put it on air for sure.

  • @rsgirl10 I could just melt for the day when I hear one of her songs on the radio, how delicious would that be? :)

  • @rsgirl10 It is a good idea, but I'd suggent Opheliac.

  • @rsgirl10 Excellent! :D but just like somebody already said, Opheliac would be a better choice.

  • @rsgirl10 Liar, Juliet or The art of suicide xP

They're all pretty, I cannot decide which one ! D:

  • @rsgirl10 Lets do it! =D

I don't know what stations I could call here in CA. =/

  • @rsgirl10 I would probably suggest Swallow or Marry Me, but I think that this song is great as well. I guess we'll have to adjust according to time zones.. ^^

  • @rsgirl10 hmmmm probably dead is the new alive.

  • @rsgirl10 Why should she become mainstream? She's great the way she is, if she becomes mainstream she will become like all those that were once considered the Greats. She would, like most of them, sell out and become like Beiber or Gaga....*gags* I think this is a bad idea.

  • @NecromanyUnbound If you honestly believe that more popularity would magically change her, you don't know her and I don't really see how you can even call yourself a fan of her.

Also, please stop with this bullshit idea that mainstream music is automatically bad music simply because it's popular. Good music is good music. It's about the content, not the popularity. I'm sick and tired of seeing people handle music based on how many people like it over how good it is.

  • @traumatizedollie Pardon me, I was only expressing my opinion. Am I not allowed to do so? Oh and did I ever say that I was a fan? No I did not. I never claimed to be a fan. I am a lover of music in almost all it's forms. I did not offend anyone by my statement and I think it was quite rude of you to attack me as you have. If I have, I do apologize but from what I can tell no one seems to be offended by my opinion. rsgirl10 even asks for others opinions. Sorry if I offended you.

  • @NecromanyUnbound

He disagreed with your opinion - he didn't say you shouldn't express it. Even if he did, who cares? You don't have to listen.

I agree with him - are we not allowed to express out opinions on your opinion? (eh meh, sarcasm). I don't have much else to say besides... well, if you think it's a bad idea, don't get involved.

  • @NecromanyUnbound I was deeply offended, as you make it seem like everyone is easily corrupted. They aren't, and it's terrible you think so.

  • @stevenodd I'm sorry that I offended, I didn't say all, I did say "most". The way the music industry is today it seems like so many would rather sell out and be "popular" rather than stick to what they are so good at. This is a fear I have for EA. I respect EA for what she does, but I fear the way the music industry works, they would ruin all she is about, or at least try to.

  • @traumatizedollie I do not think all mainstream is bad. I listen to mainstream music as well but I've noticed a growing trend in the music industry and that is what I was referring to. Steven Tyler even sounds more "popish" now and that saddens me. I worry about what the music industry would try making her do, and she should not have to go through that. I love EA for all she does, she has gotten me through my own personally hell. I do not love her because of whether she is mainstream or not

  • @NecromanyUnbound

I don't think she would become mainstream, but I certainly wouldn't object to her becoming mainstream. It sounded like you automatically assume anyone on the radio is crap, and that putting Emilie on the radio would mean she was crap. I totally disagree. Regardless of her popularity, Emilie Autumn is a great artist, at least in my opinion.

I'm doing this because I find it fun, and because I think she deserves more recognition than she has.

  • @rsgirl10 I think that's genius. Someone should do a blogtv show or something that's live for an hour or more and spend it requesting a song :]

  • @rsgirl10 Im sorry, you may call me uninformed or so. But what is this ´plague rats´ people talk about.. Is it like a name for the style of the people who listen this kind of music orrr.....

  • @YYMONSTER I don't think you have to be a fan enough to know allll her songs to call yourself a plague rat. Just like Slipknot has maggots, Emilie has plague rats. Just something she, and her fans, address themselves as.

  • @rsgirl10

    Great idea
