I completely disagree..

the original is much much darker and altogether better than this Remake. Most importantly the Cop GETS AWAY IN THE End (And we're sparred with another " let me die i deserve it to make you all feel good again "-Scene. In the original Skorsgard SHOOtS the Dog himself from which he gets the replacement- bullet.

Skorsgard really is aroused by the Girl that seduces him in the Car and is not just pretending it ..

It is all so Mainstream- softened- typical American.

It's funny that most people just assume Nolan will make a 3rd Batman. They're really overlooking the "selective" aspect that you mentioned. If he can't think up an idea he likes as much as TDK he probably won't do it.

Not saying he can't do it though.

Yeah, he's good. I put perhaps to much hope on such a director as him and David Fincher.

They have to keep challenging themselves though. Can't let up. The next thing I want to see from Nolan is a Space Opera. Maybe he should pick up "Rendezvous with Rama" which Fincher just dropped. Nolan knows how to write a script, and has a lot less projects in the works then Fincher.

Though I suppose looking froward to "the Prisoner" is enough.
