1. I don't have a HD TV. Is there any way I can view the videos from the camcorder on to my TV.
2. I read somewhere that you can't burn Standard DVDs with this. Is this true? Can I make regular SD DVDs using the software that comes with the camcorder?
Not sure about the dvd burning but you can view it on a standard tv right from the camcorder itself. its come with all the cables to do so. hope this helps

Perhaps one day you WILL own an hdtv. In the meantime, you can collect videos in hd. Then one day, you can enjoy all your videos again in hd.
HD video is the way to go, and given the price point of the HF100, it's the best thing going on the market.
