They would come all this way for a couple of reasons. One, resources. Earth has resources that are current useful for space travel at NASA (gold, precious minerals, precious stones, etc), which might also be useful for some alien life forms technology as well. Two, more resources. We aren't called the water planet for nothing. Seems like water is a precursor to life, so its possible that alien sentient beings would also need water to survive. Three, study the naked half-breed ape-alien.

Actually, being skeptical is what makes science work. If we just accepted anecdotal evidence we would be in the dark ages still. There is rarely a good way to say, "you're wrong." It's true though that amoeba can't be said to be any less evolved than humans. One argument would go, "Amoebas have been around for 2 billion years, therefore there evolutionary history trumps ours by some 1.99 billion years." That's not correct either, but  its an interesting thought.

Obviously this is a complete hoax, but if there are indeed aliens, I think it's at least reasonable to assume for arguments sake that they could be humanoid in appearance.

Many scientists believe that for life to be found in space, requires similar conditions as those found on earth, eg, presence of water, similar gravity, etc.

If the conditions are similar, and we are the pinnacle of evolution thus far on earth, maybe "convergent evolution" would reach a similar result out there.

To clarify - you made an argument for "convergent evolution" which was premised on the notion that humans are the "pinnacle." My point is that your premise is no longer accepted evolutionary thought. Amoeba have just as much evolutionary history behind them as humans. We may be more complex and intelligent, but not more evolved. I said nothing about chance - just that there is no known mechanism for convergence on the human form.

And the thing is that it's more likely to be thousands or tens of thousands of light years, not just 5 or 6, considering there are only about 40 stars closer than 20 light years from here (not including the Sun or the binary/multiple systems which are very unlikely to sustain stable planetary orbits, i.e. the possibility of life). 5 or 6 I could ALMOST believe, although why they'd do that trip more than once, after seeing the Colorado "specimen" in his natural habitat, I'll never understand.
