Wow why say he is so great? We r doing better without him... Im a leaf fan and always will be but he was a god aweful player... Most of the other players as well... But at least now we have agood team and so far pre season went great and kicked ass and the past few season games we have done good... So bye bye sundin im so glad ur gone

@PianoXfan1 true, we only made the playoffs 8/13 years with him as captain,went to the conference finals twice, won the northeast division once... and he's only the franchise leader in goals, asssits by forwards and points, plus being the only swedish player to score 500 goals, swedish leader in goals, points and assists, first swede to reach 1000 points, had over a point per game career and was in 8 all star games... but you're right, what a shmuck, get out of here bud

Ive been a leaf fan for my whole life and I never saw any other leaf give as much heart to toronto as mats sundin has, he is truly one of the greatest or thee greatest Leaf that ever played, why did the Leafs trade him? you just don't betray someone like that I wish he still played for the Leafs....

In all the years I been a Leaf fan Mats Sundin is the greatest Leaf in history. I regret that I never got the chance to see him play as I live to far away to go to any games. Sundin will always be my fav player, and that will never change. Congrats on a wonderful career #13.

i am a huge leafs fan and this guy is my all time favourite player. he is the player who got me into hockey and is my role model. he was the best athlete in swedish history, let alone swedish hockey. i'll miss him alot, and now it feels like a big chunk of my life is missing.

To some of us growing up he was better than a cup.. I grew up watching Mats so did everyone else in toronto. He was EVERYONES favorit player and deserved everything he got.. i cant say enough positive things about Mats, Greatest leaf of all time for sure... The number 13 should be retierd from the toronto maple leafs.. Anyways Bye Mats you'll always be my favorit player of all time.. :)
