1.Betting will happen (for fun atleast) between the groups of students where one support Pakistan to win and the another group supports India to win.. - this is somewhat "normal"
2.a group of folks openly perform prayers "dua" for the Pakistan team to win the match - this is "NOT NORMAL"

I studied my MCA in a muslim college (Sadakathullah Appa college) in Tirunelveli (tamilnadu). When ever there is a "cricket" match between India ad Pakistan, I have noticed 2 things among the hostel students:
1.Betting will happen (for fun atleast) between the groups of students where one support Pakistan to win and the another group supports India to win.. - this is somewhat "normal"
2.a group of folks openly perform prayers "dua" for the Pakistan team to win the match - this is "NOT NORMAL"
