NICE footwork, totally suits the sound yuo're tlakin about, and from the looks of things you've got a good swivel/updown motion to your feet. i mean, it's really something - the technical proficiency but still with that rawer primitive sound. great enruance too, and demonstration of both differnt speeds and different timings (3 time blasts as well as 4/4). id like to see more dynamic variation but equally this is JUST what black metal, say of Watain - Sworn to the Dark, requires.

sounds impressive for those without knowlegde of drumming. Appart from Hellhammer(Mayhem) Proscriptor (Absu) and Fenriz (early Darkthrone) I seldom get impressed by black metal drumming. "In black metal,drumming is not important,its just supposed to be there.."(Fenriz) maybe that was the point of posting this vid? -believe me,playing fast is easy to learn,but a great Black Metal drummer manages to "lift" the music without any attempts of impressing with his tecnique or speed .

-the key factor is the sound. The snare-drum's sound should sound slightly heavy,the bass-drums should not sound like "clicks" without heavyness...(an example of perfect Black Metal drumming style/sound is Immortal's "Pure Holocaust" or Mayhem's "De Mysteriis..")But thats just my opinion though! I guess its all about how the band choose to mix their recordings, And I am sure that many will disagree with me here..

I use a Mapex M Set with an additional 8' Tom. And my suggestion for good timing: Practice everything in slow motion. I still pratice my blasts sometimes at 140-160 bpm to keep my precision although I can go up to 230 by now^^
