Samsung Galaxy Tab freeze / hang at boot, how to fix

my samsung galaxy tab 10.1 freezes on the browser.. i can't even switch it off.. thankfully i found this video.. i press the on/off button with the volume button and... it reboot! thank u so much!!

I think people need to differentiate between a fix and a reset. This doesn't fix anything it just gets rid of the problem and everything else. I have had my tab for more than 6 months loads of data on it and i cant just wipe it. I am getting the exact same problem and i have no way of getting the data off it.

I have tried doing this and choosing wipe data/actory reset, but this has not solved the problem, still freezes with the samsung logo. anyone else had this problem???

Hi Tony, I live in the US but I bought an international galaxy tab so I can use it as a phone. I was in class, using it as a calculator and I got a message saying my messages were full so I tried deleting some and it went crazy now says the home is not available, I can start it up but it just gives me error messages. I tried to hard reset it and it just sits on the ! android guy.  I don't know what else to do, please help.

Thanks Tony it really worked, mine was frozen for almost an hour during one of the games I had installed I checked the manual checked the tab itself hoping to see some reset button and then I thought why not check the youtube in case someone had posted the trouble shooting and there you were. Thanks once again for saving my day. Samsung people should take notice of this troubleshooting.
