At aproximately the 9-minute mark you were at an old parking lot where there used to be buildings. Those trees are not oaks, but maples. I saw a few leaves closeup in your video.
As for all those giant ant-hills, they are really cool. We don't have any ant-hills like that in our Pine Barrens.

You were in alot of the same spots where I was on the July 8 video I made! Those are Aleghenny Ant mounds, they do bite if disturbed, like if you kick the mound. I see pine flies, right in front of the camera at 17:45. Maybe because you're wearing a cap they dont land on your head like with me. Pitch pines grow slow in the beginning but really start growing quickly after their first few years. Even I've noticed how much larger they are on those trails at the end. I saw blue sky and thunder too.
Why bring the iPOD? It's a matter of personal preference really but I prefer mine in an urban setting. In a beautiful park like this, I would enjoy the sounds of nature. The light breeze, the birds chirping, the squirrels rustling in the trees, etc.
Another great hike video, Shane. Funny story involving Kevin, lol. Couldn't help but think of Flyer when that fly invaded your car, and I also had to chuckle at the bee that decided to interrupt the video at about 17:40. XD
What was that siren noise that started at about 18:20? I was quite staggered by the amount of anthills around, too. And it goes without saying I definitely heard that thunder, lol.

Oh yeah, some fly or something went in front of my camera, I didn't see that until later. That siren was from a firehouse, all of the firehouses here have these sirens whenever there is a fire call. They are rather annoying, the building I work is is right next to a firehouse and the siren goes off several times a day, it is soooooo annoying. lol

Nice video Shane. It shouldn't be too long until you get your new laptop. Good thing about your new lap top is it comes with a movie maker (I movie) which proffesionals use. Its really good and means you don't have to shell out for new software
