Renewables are an important part of our measures to reduce Climate Change, but we must make sure that the energy gained is not wasted. Buildings account for 50% of the UK’s CO2 emissions, so what about enforcing the requirement for landlords marketing property to have an Energy Performance Certificate and to carry out recommendations making the property more attractive to buyers or tenants. There is currently only 39% compliance, what are you going to do about this Chris?
Small wind turbines have a contribution to make to renewables in the UK. There has to be a fair feed-in tariff which is consistant over time and is straight forward to understand.
