  • I made my go kart out of pvc, Extremly light not too flimsy, about the same as wood

  • @AllanXRLTS3 how did u hook the peices together like did u drill the pvc or tape or what?

  • AND YOU GOT IT FROM HOME DEPOT FOR $35

  • WHAT IS THE GAS PIPE CALLED

  • @LARRYYASCkOOP It's just called gas pipe. It's just like iron plumbing pipe, but it's coated with a black corrosion inhibitor. (Which has to be removed prior to welding or painting it anyway.)

  • why dont you make any more videos?

  • I got mine from Electric Vehicles USA, but there are many vendors of golf cart motors and controllers.

  • were do i get all the moter and controller kit???reply please

  • sorry websit- website

  • hey i have question i like to ask you first what websit or store did you get the parts of your frame, axle, steering, motor ect. and do you need experience for the weilding of the frame and other things

  • hey i am making a custom go kart and i would like to know how to get the electric motor kit. any advice? :)

  • hey I'm making a costom go kart, and i would like to know were i can get the motor and control system. this my first kart and i need some advice!!! :)

  • I have a question. I found a car battery charger that charges in 1 hour for one battery. If I have 4 batteries; would it take 4 hours?

  • As a rule, yes.

  • So if I connect the batteries in parallel and charge the batteries as a whole; it will take 4 hours?

  • yes

  • Awesome thanks a lot.

  • yes

  • Do you know where I can get the motor and controller kit?

  • How much for the pipe - how many feet would I need of it to build a simple frame like yours - no battery boxes or anything just a simple frame.

  • I used about 30 feet of pipe, and that doesn't include the battery boxes.

  • 30 feet of pipe - just for the frame? How much did it cost?

  • It's pretty cheap stuff - I think it came to around $35. Certainly less than $50.

  • I wanna welder! Lord help us if I get one...

  • Well, I got one, and He was no help to me. Of course, I've been having fun sticking metal bits together, so it's not all bad... :D

  • how much did you get the mig welder for and where are the videos of you putting the cart together step by step I would really like them

  • A weld rig like mine, with shielding gas, would probably run $4-500. I didn't show much assembly - it's slow and boring. The videos from the dry-erase board aren't exactly exciting, but the info is there.

  • These are one of the best videos that i have seen that uve made. i was just wondaring where do u get the parts from like, wheels, axles etc. also can u use a soldering iron to stick two peices of metal together? thanx

  • Not really - the temperatures are too high. There may be some way to solder iron, but it would take a monster (and expensive) iron, and special filler material. Welding is much better.

  • Is there a way you can put two pieces of metal together w/out using a torch? If not, how much does a blow-torch cost?

  • Well, I use a MIG welder, which uses electricity rather than a gas torch. You can get a rig like that for under $400. I really think welding is the best way to go - it's probably the strongest and lightest way to fasten metal together.

  • Wires99, can you bend the black pipe frome homedepot with a tubing bender or a hydrolic bender? That's gas pipe right? Does it behave anything like steel tubing? Thanks! Great set of videos btw!!!

  • I haven't tried, but I know of someone else who has. It's pretty thick walled, but it can be done. I don't have a bender for that.

  • I went with a non weld total recycle piece together, with just a couple of pics of trike and tools. runs about faster than walking, slower than running. recycled motors, batteries, everything. very much appreciated video sharing here, I just knew there were others coming along out there

  • Really nice of you topost tips on welding and cutting and everything else. I'm just starting to learn to weld, well I will in a few months soon as my house is done. So it's really good to watch this.

Please post whatever else you think might be useful.

    Thanks.Saeid

  • this is kinda cool now i can make my own Neurotikart
