I really think this set up would work in the Texas flats, out here in port Mansfield. I would like some details on how you made this. I have an opportunity to by a seadoo Gsx for 200 clams and I already have a Jon boat. It would really be cool to use this in the flats next to all the 50k boats. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Somethings really wrong here! You should be goina a whole hell of alot faster. I have a 12 aluminum hull with a 587 seadoo motor in it with an after market exhaust, and it does 50-55 on the water......you have a 700. You should be hauling ass!
note jet drives do no have props there called impellers and are not even the same shape as a prop and they are not very adjustable you would have to spend a couple hundred for a new impeller and it may make the speed prob worse but you may want to check the angle of the jet you want it to be exactly horizontal when the boat planes off
@philip21786 jet skis are made faster primarily with engine mods and the little you can do to the pump doesnt change its top speed, just how it works in rough water...but your probably right about the 10 mph with a bunch of engine mods it may do another 10
i would love to see more . I have bought a 16 ftt comercial size john boat really wide and i have found a 1200 kawasaki jet ski with reverse i am about to add. I would loike to see some pictures of the inside of yours and how you mated the two together. Looks great and like it handles really well
@jherring101 How does it do with the small gravel as far as it getting into the intake? Got a very shallow river here with alot of sand and gravel in places, which i'm sure yours is probably the same.
@sargentsun.... It really isn't that bad... I've had to take it apart one time on the river because of a rock, but other then that its been really good!!! And we push her pretty hard. And our river is very shallow, so if i know i'm about to go over something really skinny, I'll let off the gas and coast over it if I can... Best of luck on your build, if u have any questions send me a message, I'll help if I can!!!
a jetski, a jon boat, a bunch of screws, expanda foam, a seasoned redneck carpenter, 5 saw horses, enough beer to float the boat, 12 stitches, and close to a quart of blood....... and some gas.
im thinking about making one of these how hard was it

Man that's actually pretty bad ass. If possible, try adjusting the prop, you may be able to squeeze another 10 mph out of that.
philip21786 1 year ago
@philip21786---- Maybe you know something I don't, cause the intake is not movable. Please advise, I am all for going faster.
jherring101 1 year ago
@jherring101 Oh man I wasn't even thinking straight. When I commented, I was stoned and didn't realize that jet skis don't have props. lol

@philip21786 Dude they have props.....they r inside of the jet drive box
therealmr905 1 year ago
@therealmr905 It is not called a prop. Those "props" are called impellers.
philip21786 1 year ago
@philip21786 It's still a fuckin prop! if you call it an impeller or a propellar......still a prop!
therealmr905 1 year ago
@therealmr905 I'm about to call your mom and prop her with MY impeller.
